  1. So recently my close friend and I fell out. He told me that I made him uncomfortable last time he slept over. I asked him to specify and he said that I spooned him when we slept in the same bed and he said friends do not do that. I felt so embarrassed after he texted me this because I did not realize I was doing that because I was asleep and not aware of my actions and I never want to make someone feel uncomfortable. I apologized and took responsibility for the situation and validated his feelings. He said he appreciated the apology but he does not want me to approach him again. He then proceeded to block me on all social medias that we share together. He's completely valid in feeling uncomfortable, however, I feel like because it was an accident, this could be resolved by talking it through in person and setting new boundaries. Should I wait for things to cool down and reach out to explain myself further and try to set a date we could meet to hash things out, or should I completely drop it. We always have good times together and we had so much planned for the summer and the future and I would hate for things to end over an accident. EDIT: For people asking for more info, we are both 20 and in college and I used to like this guy and we would flirt a lot with each other and sometimes even cuddle while watching tv. He said that he was not ready for a gay relationship and he's still figuring himself out. I dropped my feelings for him and avoided physical touch. He then started to date a girl a couple months later, and I will admit I was hurt but I learned to brush it off. So maybe he thinks by me doing this I was trying to make a move on him because in his response to my apology he said "I've already told you we should be friends". I wanted to reach out again because I wanted to further explain that it was an accident and in no means was it me trying to make a move on him. He also tends to act on impulse (aka blocking me) and once a situation cools down he tends to reevaluate a situation which is why I was wondering if I should wait.
  2. https://twitter.com/theserfstv/status/1661836837881802752?s=20 The front page of the Daily Wire is advertising a product for children that is an infantilized version of Matt Walsh. They specifically list that it's for children. They want kids to hold a baby version of Matt Walsh in their hands. This is disgusting and vile.
  3. I’m trying to choose some headphones for the gym. They music is always loud and then I can hear my music or I hear both musics and it’s too much i ain’t looking for $500 headphones, under $100 would be great I don’t care about brands as long as they work help
  4. Today, I find myself navigating through the vast ocean of grief as I mourn the loss of my mother. She was my best friend, my hero, my role model. The woman who shaped me into who I am today, instilling in me her virtues, love, resilience, and wisdom. Her laughter was infectious, and her spirit shone brighter than any star. Our shared moments were not just moments, they were life-lessons, adventures, and loving memories that will be treasured forever. Life without her feels inconceivable right now, the pain is raw and unrelenting. But I know she would want me to remember the strength she embodied, to harness it and use it to keep moving forward, just as she always did. To everyone who is fortunate enough to still have their mother’s touch, voice, and presence, please hold her close. Cherish every moment. And to those who share my experience of loss, I send you my deepest sympathies. I don’t know how I’m going to get through this. I don’t want to be here without her. She may no longer be here in physical form, but her spirit and love will forever remain in my heart. My hero, my mom, I will miss you every day. Until we meet again. 💔
  5. Which house would you choose to live in forever ? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Which one would you choose ?
  6. Sharp needle went deep into my finger What about you?
  7. Most of my gay friends are femme and some even dress up as women sometimes but there’s nothing about them I find attractive. I’ve come to the conclusion I’m attracted to masculinity. Love a deep voice, strong muscular body and not an over the top personality so we can enjoy a chill dinner at a restaurant without attracting too much attention. is it wrong to only be attracted to masculine men as a gay person?
  8. Spotify introduced their new personalised DJ feature in February earlier this year, but it only rolled out in my country a couple of days ago. Essentially it's a bit like their daily mixes but the DJ changes the genre/vibe after about 4 or 5 songs. The DJ also unnervingly talks to you It seems interesting, I wonder if anyone else has tried it out?
  9. Something I'm shocked that hasn't been targeted during this wave of grooming panic is gay conversion therapy/camps. The explicit purpose is to change a person's sexual orientation, typically minors. To me, it feels like an obvious way to pursue justice while also refocusing the grooming narrative around larger (typically religious) institutions and the (typically conservative) people that run them. A sweeping movement to shut any currently operating programs down, charge people who have run them and their donors, pursue action against any institutions that have housed them, and install national bans makes a lot of sense to me. Thots?
  10. For my experience it can happen during conversations with friends, parents or co wokers to hear something good but sometimes something bad about americans, italians, british, indians, chineses and everyone... I never heard anything bad in particulary about Japaneses...seems like everything from the food, their work ethic, respect for what is public (streets, parks), their international policies, their respect for the green cause, their hospitality and courtesy with foreign people..no one ever say something bad about them. What is your experience? Do you agree?.

  13. I'm a new manager working in a female dominated workplace. I have my own Asian group within the workplace, and we never had issues between us. There is a one group of white women who works very closely with each other. I have never observed any issues within the group previously, but as a manager, I do sometimes get wind of issues brewing within the group. Recently, there has been issues between 2 of the women in the group, and I kid you not the swiftness that every single person in the group turned on the one poor girl. I don't want to stick my toe in the mess, but her best friend in the group literally wrote a scalding report against her, while still being her best friend in person. What is worse is that the best friend has such a sweet face and voice that you really wouldn't think she would be someone to stick a knife in your back. I don't believe in work friendships and I treat everyone at work as a colleague as I am a manager, but I lose faith in the value of friendships every time I see things like this.
  14. It seems like the discussion is divided between those who see this as blackface hence racist, and the ones who think that the girls’ intention was to honor him, not to mock or defame him, so it’s ok. What do you think about it?
  15. I love it. I also love to dip it with gravy. How about you?
  16. I feel like this idea of keeping your cat inside the house at all times and not allowing them to go outside at all is a relatively recent trend. It seems bizarre to me, surely one of the perks of having a cat is that you can kind of leave it to its own devices most of the time? Keeping it locked up inside also seems a bit cruel, seeing as cats are meant to roam around outside. I even recently saw a video on tiktok of someone putting their cat on a lead and taking it for a walk which was just

  19. We often discuss Israel's controversial policies towards Palestine, and there's no doubt that the actions and repercussions of these policies should be criticized when necessary. However, I wonder if we are also giving due attention to the actions of the US. The US, throughout its history, has been involved in numerous controversial foreign interventions, some of which have led to significant humanitarian crises and protracted conflicts. For instance, the Vietnam War, the Iraq War, Afghanistan war, and interventions in Central and South America have had devastating consequences like the destabilization of governments and the killing of millions of innocents, the US has taken way more lives than Israel ever did. Just look at the numbers. Since 2001, the US interventions in the middle east have killed over 335,000 innocent civilians (report by Brown University's Costs of War). While Israel between 2008 and 2021 has killed over 4,000 Palestinian civilians. There are numerous instances where the US has been accused of war crimes or violating international law, from drone strikes that have killed and still kills nowadays civilians in the Middle East (https://atrl.net/forums/topic/440240-biden-admin-drone-strike-kills-innocent-syrian-shepherd-orphaning-10-children/) to the treatment of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. Both of them are abusive countries that use their power to commit war crimes against poorer and weaker countries, but the US does it at a bigger scale. So why does the US often evade the same level of scrutiny and criticism? Why no one is calling to boycott the US like some do with Israel. It's ikely tied to its global political power, influence over international media narratives, and historical alliances. Do you consider the US to be as bad or worse than Israel? Is Israel over-hated or is the US is getting a free pass? Do you think that critizising artists for perfoming in Israel is hypocritical considering the US' actions are just as bad?
  20. You can just go through the replies and quote tweets, I’ll not post it cause they’re too harsh. Her own followers turned out on her. Apparently the boyfriend is some kind of Christian nationalist too. This is a reminder that right-wing whites will use POC for clout, but never fully accept them.
  21. I’m obviously including myself in this. I just find dogs so freaking annoying. Where I leave the lady on the first floor has a dog and it always jumps on me whenever I’m getting in/out of the building. I’ve been living here for two years and that dog always attacks me. That’s why I prefer cats, they’re so much more independent and just keep it to themselves. They have an actual personality and are not just needy creatures like dogs. That’s just my experience, but all my gay friends can’t stand dogs either and have cats. How about you? How true is this gay stereotype?
