Hi everyone! We made it to the end of 2023. It was an interesting year for me personally. After a pretty devastating 2022 with the loss of my Dad and my Dog, and going through some very bad depression and mental health struggles on top of that, 2023 was a much better year. It was quiet socially, but I was mentally intact and I learned to enjoy my own company and still survive and be strong. This was also the year of my ATRL comeback, with me participating in multiple games during the second half of the year, and I hit a milestone 15 year anniversary this November. I will be celebrating the best that 2023 had to offer me and other things. So this was supposed to be up since like last week or whenever the 'Best Of' section reopened. Yet finals swept in and while i feel confident in the quality of my grades this semester, I was still too wrapped up in last minute things to even try and make this. Also I got sick and it's lingering so there's that But enough of that! Welcomeeee, all my ATRL lovelies, to the 2023 edition of GreatestLoveofAll's music recap! Since i started this in 2020 (missing 2021 completely which to this day still irks me), I have done a recap of two lists- songs released this year (with very few exceptions) that are my favorites and another with songs I discovered this year and why they are important to me! this year was a big year in gospel for me but I discovered plenty of old classics and some songs that ATRL stanned for back when they just came out! From pop to soul, from gospel to rock, my music taste all have a similarity to them and when you see the lists I got, you'll definetly agree. Im no graphic queen so the reveals will be very simple, but I will do my best to make the commentary worth your while- I cant wait to share what I loved this year with you all.
