According to ATRL, Dua Lipa is experiencing a commercial decline, with many of her releases struggling to resonate with a majority of pop fans, including her fans. What is not clicking? Is it the music, or is it the lack of performances that are not selling the songs? What advice would you give to Dua Lipa to revive this era?

As we all know, Katy Perry abandoned Dr. Luke once Kesha's trial took place. However, there have been multiple instances indicating Dr. Luke's involvement in her new record. This is all speculation but take what you want from it: - Dr. Luke and his family recently watched Katy's vegas show and she took pictures with his children - Rolling Stone has heavily implied his involvement on the new record, mentioning her in a 2023 article about the producer - Dr. Luke and his new team of producers (Aaron Joseph, Rocco Valdes, Ryan OG) have been liking Katy's posts recently, moreso than her past album eras (Witness, Smile, etc.) - There have been blind items speculating a Kim Petras collab (KP x KP) Do we think we will see Lukasz Gottwald on the credits of Katy's new album? Will you be shocked? Why or why not? Discuss.

Some of the only female singers from the 90s-2000s who still survive in the mainstream today and are scoring big hits are Shakira / Beyoncé. (Britney in very "goodwill" today, would be able to have smash hits too but she's semi-retired sadly) Then, we have these ladies who have also managed to stay successful after 2-3 decades: Avril had a proper comeback in 2021-2022 and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She got big praise for Love Suxxx and accolades, and she even gained approval from Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, who are among the biggest icons of Gen Z-New Generations Pink is still having massive tours and her albums selling decently Kelly Clarkson remains very successful with her TV show, and her album received positive reviews from critics. How do you see the future for these ICONS-LEGENDS? Do you think it's time for the three of them to reinvent their sound? What direction would you like them to take? Electronic? Urban? WorldMusic? Do you believe they can continue to have appeal throughout the entire decade and perhaps have a comeback moment-renaissance? Do you still listen to these 3 queens, or has their music changed for you? and youre just bored with them

Both albums are horrible and boring. I had switch off CC two seconds in. Listening to fortnite, I kept trying to find what people are raving about. What is this pretentious trend of music where artists think they are Mozart making unlistenable music?

I understand being excited but um...this is too much. All Swifties who stanned after folklore need to be sent to the back of the line.

base talk Can Taylor learn something from Ariana about melodies & vocal production?
Communion posted a topic in Base
We all know Taylor is one of the best lyricists of her generation. She paints stories with her pen and has built her career on the words she writes. But one of the main criticisms of her new album is a lack of variety when it comes to melodies and her vocal delivery throughout the album. Much of Taylor's songs by nature of her style of writing start off as lyric ideas - scribbled couplets on pieces of paper, journal entries - rather than sonic ideas. Given the recent technical praise Ariana has received for eternal sunshine's vocal production and melody compositons (largely helmed by Ariana), should Taylor consider experimenting more in the studio for the next record with writing melodies first with less emphasis on the lyrics? -
Haven't heard the new album yet just basing off the sentiment here it feels like she's losing her touch? Midnights is from what I can tell many Swifties least favourite album and now this? in the decline real?
