  1. Bury a Friend, her triple platinum 2019 hit, features in the opening credits of HBO's True Detective: Night Country. (Stream the first episode now ) source

    Are these pop perfections?

I've been listening to some russian music and wow .. the music, the visuals The smash after smash, they way they dominated the 2000's, I thought some of you would like this because these are ANTHEMS! (and there's no base for it I think?). The different concepts and the melodies really remind me of the 2000's-2010's pop girls. My favorite girl group: And some other girl groups/MPG that ruled in the 2000s Putting in spoiler more songs:
  3. What are your thoughts on This Hair Style?
  4. What are some common sayings/phrases you heard first from an MPG or other artist? For me, the saying "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" was something I first heard from Madonna's 4 Minutes. The whole C U Next Tuesday phrase was something I first heard from Kesha. PCD taught us all that you should "Be careful what you wish for...cause you WHAT?...just might get it
  5. The Demo: Yeah this song bumps in every version. Wish she had put the demo on the deluxe of 333 instead of Woke Up Blessed.
  6. Picture this: The MV would be about her luxurious life and the annoying paparazzis trying to scrutinize her relationship, the choruses would be her dancing with some backdancers in a stadium as a cheerleader for some football team or whatever Travis is playing. what do you think
  7. Would the gays be gagging the way they have? What do you think, ATRL?
  8. Recently, there's a case of a stalker who broke into Ariana Grande's house 92 times and ended up in prison. A Shakira stalker, who insisted she was his wife (WTF), also got sentenced to jail. I remember that in the past, there were numerous stalkers trying to harm Justin Bieber. And Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney, and essentially any major pop star have faced threats from obsessed fans. I get that there are exceptions, like John Lennon and Selena Quintanilla, but they have seemed to be less common. I'm beginning to think that major pop stars either attract imitators or strategically acquire faux lavish residences to mislead stalkers. They must also invest in cutting-edge technology to ensure their security. What are your thoughts on this? Is this something that worries you?
  9. ODH love to say that Dua has zero personality and is incapable of showing any emotion and is nothing more than a label puppet and playlist fodder. Yet she's very politically outspoken, she continues to be THEE MPG speaking up for Palestine, the mining in Congo, the EU is collabing with her. What went wrong for this fabricated lie made up by bitter ODHs?

  11. So, I want to discover new music in 2024, and I would like you to share any songs or albums that you find really special or would recommend for exploration. I love music in any genre in general, but I'll give you extra points if you have any synth-pop, new wave or synth-wave recommendations to share, lol. Here are three songs that I love with all my heart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsAYcQHpfkA&ab_channel=MatiasGonzález I won't share any Taylor songs since I think you already know all of them.
  12. 1. Blank Space 2. Cruel Summer (debut) 3. Anti-Hero (debut) 4. Shake It Off 5. Love Story and to add some to the list : 6. Style 7. Wildest Dreams 8. You Belong With Me 9. Lover (debut) 10. Look What You Made Me Do OUT -> RED's Max Martin-produced sisters (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together & I Knew You Were Trouble) -> sounds dated and don't see significant surge after TV Bad Blood -> Long forgotten. The chant on tour didn't have any effect on its stream BUBBLING UNDER folklore's sisters (cardigan & august) -> surprisingly very stable on streaming chart Don't Blame Me -> lowkey has surpassed other singles of reputation (Ready for It, Delicate, Gorgeous)
  13. of course i’m referring to Billboard Top 25 smash hit 2 On! History in the making, the beginning of one of R&B’s most underrated and influential artists ever. Celebratory streamings are NOW.
  14. 2000: Sarah McLachlan - I Will Remember You (WINNER) Alanis Morisette - Thank U Madonna - Beautiful Stranger Britney Spears - Baby One More Time Christina Aguilera - Genie in a Bottle The way all these songs are just A+ (Sarah's I could live without though..., Angel deserved instead)

Bigger peak: Nicki Minaj or Doja Cat?

Nicki’s peak being 2010 - 2012 during the Pink Friday and Roman Reloaded eras. Doja’s peak being 2020 - 2022 during the Hot Pink and Planet Her eras. Discuss.
  16. I was told J law result was an unrepeatable miracle for a rated R rom com .
  17. Imagine having Champagne Problems, Cry About It Later, Harleys in Hawaii, Never Really Over, Daisies and Tucked on ONE album She said let me give fun pop during the pandemic and everyone paid dust to her and now there's a void of fun carefree pop
  18. Personally I can't really think of any instance in recent memory. She has delivered a few fun verses here and there but nothing rather impressive, or groundbreaking and interesting. I'd say the last verse I really enjoyed from her was her feature on You Already Know with Fergie. She needs to do more on house
