  1. Not that I really care about these Metacritic scores but I was looking through some of my fave's albums' reviews and found that the lowest score ever given by a critic to one of her albums is this: 20/100 by DOT Music to In The Zone Share the lowest score given to one of your fave's albums and the review !
  2. Zara Larsson arrived in Dubai ready to hit the stage at Global Village on 18 April. However, with Dubai residents urged to stay at home and to only use the roads if absolutely necessary, the concert has been postponed. The Swedish singer is expected to return to Dubai later this year, and a new date for the concert is still to be confirmed. The Global Village performance in Dubai would have been Larsson's first time in the UAE. Back in 2020, the singer was supposed to perform at the Mother of the Nation festival in Abu Dhabi; however, this event has been cancelled due to the COVID-19.
  3. Taylor Swift's declaration, "There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation," epitomized the ethos of her sixth album, where she courageously seized control of her narrative amid public scrutiny and media distortions. By refraining from the elaborate promotional campaigns of her previous album cycles, Swift opted to let the music and era speak for themselves, reclaiming agency over the message of the album. This decision not only allowed listeners to interpret the music as they saw fit but also encouraged them to either take Swift's word for it or delve into their own interpretations. In essence, Swift weaponized the absence of traditional promotion to ensure that the era revolved solely around the theme of reputation. Extending this approach to the re-recordings of "reputation (Taylor's Version)" would maintain the album's original intent, preserving its authenticity and integrity. By avoiding excessive promotion, Swift would once again empower her audience to engage directly with the music, fostering a deeper connection and understanding of the album's themes and messages. In doing so, she would continue to redefine the boundaries of artistic expression and control within the music industry. @Taylor fanboy

  5. They seem to have almost the exact same setlist and take place at the same time, only one in arenas and the other one in stadiums. Why? Why not make it all one tour? That way they could also combine the boxscores and make it one bigger tour?
  6. I feel like Tate McCrae brought back the Timbaland-esque type beat and I've always wanted the R&B-pop sound of 2005-2007 to make a return. Which new pop girl would do the Loose sound best? I think Dua would slay
  7. I wanted to blame Dan for Guts sounding kinda the same but it seems it's just Olivia's fault.
  8. With TTPD coming out and the lyrics and production being incredibly one-note and getting dragged by fans & average people, do you think Taylor should switch gears from her singer-songwriter bag and work with new producers & new writers to bring out a new project? The legend herself Janet Jackson did so for her #1 album Discipline. After writing and producing most of her songs from the 80s, 90s and 00s, Janet decided to take the backseat and take on some songs that people would send her. Obviously Taylor Swift has songwriting as the core of her artistry, but given some of these lyrics... do you think she could benefit from this sort of approach? Discuss!

  10. And why is it: Fortnight - The Tortured Poets Department - My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys? Literally the perfect way to start the album.

  16. The last male recipients were Kanye West and Justin Timberlake. Are there any other male artists deserving of the award?
  17. Talk shows are a thing of the past for main stream popstars. It was common to go on Ellen, Oprah, Good Morning America, radio interviews, etc. to promote your music. Lately I've seen a lot of stans say that their fave did it with no promo. It's a statement to flex that their fave could've sold even more if they did X,Y,Z. What's the difference between a complete surprise drop (BEYONCE) and a 24 hour notice drop (HONESTLY NEVERMIND or Folklore) are they all considered no promo albums? Does an instagram post count as promo? Some pop girlies promote on their own social media (as they should) and some don't post at all. No tea or shade but I've seen some Swifties say Taylor's projects use little to no promo. I remember this during the Reputation era when there were literal UPS trucks with the album plastered over the side. Yesterday I logged on Tiktok and was immediately hit with an advertisement to stream Taylor's new album to receive a badge on my profile. This circular shaped ad stayed on my tiktok feed until I manually exited off of the ad. But I'm still seeing people saying that TTPD had no promo.
  18. -Over 21 million sales for their debut album (Happy Nation / The Sign), 9x platinum in US -The album was Top 3 on Billboard 200 for 26 consecutive weeks -At the time, it was considered the best selling debut album of all time (by Guinness Book of World Records) -3 Top 10 songs on the Billboard Year-End Hot 100 singles of 1994 (The Sign at #1) -All That She Wants and The Sign are certified classics with having impact even to this day -Their debut inspired Lady Gaga (The Fame Monster) and Katy Perry (Teenage Dream) Bonus (even though this is not related to their debut, but rather their second album) -They give Max Martin pretty much his first US hit with Beautiful Life Keep in mind that Ace of Base was just a Swedish band that randomly managed to succeed, which makes their rise to stardom even more unique. Do they have one of the most impressive debuts in history?

Who is the Diana of pop music?

Princess Diana remains a symbol of class and grace in the public eye. If we were to apply these standards to the pop industry, who do you think would come closest to embodying Princess Diana's grace and poise? Whilst Ariana Grande seems like an obvious choice, can you think of anyone else who might fit the title?
