  1. The Girls Aloud discography is totally forgotten in the streaming platforms The biggest streaming songs on Spotify are 42 M 34 M Some of her peers have multiple 100 M and 50 M songs, Sugababes, Atomic Kitten and The Saturdays. They have an amazing 21 top ten hits in the UK, but they most good songs like "Call The Shots" or "Biology" are totally forgotten, the GA discography deserved better recognition?
  2. Peso Pluma (Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija) is a mexican "norteño/corridos" artist is predicted his song featuring Eslabón Armando to enter the top 10 next week Since I'm Mexican I'm proud another Mexican is making in into the top 10 And I don't know the facts but do someone know who was the last Mexican to do so?
  3. Her 1980s hit “Fast Car” is a undeniable classic. Nicki Minaj wanted to sample a element of Tracy’s song in 2018 on a song titled “Sorry”, meant to be on the Queen album. The song leaked in 2019, leading Tracy Chapman to sue Nicki Minaj for almost $500,000 in damages, despite the song never even being commercially released. The case was settled in 2021. Fastforward to 2023, Tracy actually allowed Republican country singer Luke Combs to COVER her song! He is now charting at #4 with the cover on the Hot 100. Why did Tracy allow a republican and redneck to cover her song but sue Nicki Minaj for hundreds of thousands of dollars for sampling her song on a song that was never even released? Share ur thoughts
  4. I was perusing chartmasters.org and was shocked to discover that 16-time Grammy loser Björk ranks above Harry Styles, and places in the top 150 best selling artists of all time. The Fagurt Er í Fjörðum chanteuse also tops Cardi B, Gwen Stefani, and many more. Are you as surprised by this revelation as I was?
  5. Aside from Jungkook shoving himself everywhere from the FIFA World Cup theme song to Charlie Puth's queerbaiting ass, none of the BTS boys have strong solo numbers whilst: - Lisa's Money is at 700M on Spotify, 820M on YT and still rising - LALISA was last confirmed for 700k in Korea and has been steadily selling since then - Jisoo is smashing in Korea and has been in the digital charts Top 5 for nearly a month now. - ME by Jisoo has also crossed 1.2M, the highest for any solo female (with TWO tracks only) - -R- by Rose has crossed 500k in Korea (2021) for a fully English single album, the biggest record after, Lisa and Jisoo. - Jennie's Solo has over 500M on Spotify and is one of the biggest smashes in Korea for 2018. - The Solo M/V is nearing 1B by itself on YouTube. Why are the BLACKPINK girls smashing as soloists while the biggest act globally right now, BTS, is struggling to create hits as soloists? Will Taehyung finally be the smasha to save their group or is the OT7 or nothing tagline becoming true? While the BTS boys like Suga sell albums and crack 1.1M, JHope with 500k and whatnot, none of them have created any smash hits while almost all of the BLACKPINK girls have a smash hit to their name, why is this?
  6. Besides miss Beyoncé of course, can anyone come for asian excellence?
  7. In the early 00s, before The X Factor, Idol and all these singing shows of today existed, in 1999, New Zealand a format for creating groups was born - Popstars. Popstars went on to make over 50 groups in different parts of the world, with groups such as Rouge in Brazil, Bardot in Australia and the most successful group out of the franchise, British pop icons Girls Aloud. Yet by 2004, most of these groups had flopped and disbanded, with the show itself being retired around 2003 in most countries due to Pop Idol having more success. But why did most of these groups fail to gain any traction? Was it poor management - if your country had a popstars group, what happened to them? Also lets remember these groups with the y2k bops they gave us
  8. As most of you know by now, Lana del Rey is credited as one of the most important songwriters/artists of our generation and she is paving a very successful career. The sales and streams speak for themselves truly, but when was the moment that she achieved that legend status? Was she instantly a legend after releasing Born To Die? Did she get that status after all the high profile collabs during Lust For Life era (Weeknd, Stevie Nicks, and Lennon all in one record)? Or was it during the release of Norman F*cking Rockwell when all the critics switched like f*ggots and praised her? Thoughts?
  9. Taylor Swift Fearless (Taylor's Version) Speak Now Red (Taylor's Version) 1989 reputation Lover folklore evermore Midnights
  10. i swear EVERYTIME i go to one they have either Donna lewis I love you always forever or the corrs breathless playing just now i heard Madonna's don't tell me which was new for them
  11. Madonna has supported Alecia Moore aka P!nk and Kelly Brianne Clarkson since the start of their careers. She’s also given love to Katy Perry, Beyoncé, and even Lady Gaga despite previously having an infamous feud with her. She has never even spoken on Avril. Not even during Avril’s prime in the early 2000’s. Was Madonna threatened by her success, or do you think she just doesn’t care for Avril? Why has Madge never shown her love?

    What is JLO's legacy?

    Are Pink’s album sales impressive?

Pink’s longevity has been very impressive especially with hits up until 2017. Her album sales have also been steady up until Beautiful Trauma, but atrl seems to ignore her stability. According to Chartmasters these are her album sales Can’t Take Me Home (2000)-4.36 million Missundazstood (2001/2)- 12.37 million Try This (2003)- 2.81 million (her first flop but still did well in Oceania and Europe) I’m Not Dead (2006)- 6.46 million (similar sales to Loose and B’day despite being labeled a underperformance) Funhouse (2008)- 6.9 million Greatest Hits (2010)- 5 million The Truth About Love (2012)- 5.67 million (More than Unapologetic, Self Titled, Prism, and Artpop) Beautiful Trauma (2017)- 2.6 million (during the streaming era)
  14. Both were the alternative darlings of the 90s and kickstarted the new wave of female singer songwriters in pop rock alt. Both have been praised for their lyricism and intelligence as well weaponizing the female experience in a way not seen before in the mainstream. Both were putted against each other along their other peers like Fiona Apples and PJ Harvey. Yet why is it that Analis was more connected to the GeePee than Tori and experienced not only commercial success but larger acclaim with her 90s work? If Tori chose to be more "palatable" to the GeePee, would she have been more loved and bigger? If Tori Amos cross over to more pop rock territory ala Jagged Little Pill, would it have worked?
  15. Teenage Dream is (rightfully so) praised as one of the best pop eras ever! However, since we’re on numbersTRL, PRISM had 2 Diamond singles versus TD who has 1. And the Prismatic World Tour grossed 204.3M (251M adjusted for inflation) versus California Dreams Tour which grossed 59.5M (75.21M adjusted for inflation) Did Prism, her best album, win?
  16. The track was not meant to be released as a single ANYWHERE. However in UK it was downloaded so much that the label eventually announced its official release as a single. It eventually peaked at no.4 in UK weekly chart and no. 13 in UK's year-end chart, much higher than a lot of top 3-peaking singles The album debuted at no.17 in UK but thanks to the song's success, eventually peaked at no. 1 weekly chart and no. 7 year-end chart (higher than US as TEOF "only" peaked at. 11 on US' year-end chart) Despite being officially released in only UK, it is the most streamed track from the album on Spotify - ESOM pt.II : 350M streams - Try Sleeping : 106M streams - Unthinkable: 101M streams (125M including the Drake remix) Was not releasing the song as a single outside UK the biggest mistake in AK's career ? If the label had promoted this song properly, could it have been a global smash?
  17. What are artists that were successful before the pandemic & fell off completely after it was over?
  18. No, it's not reputation, No, it's not Lover No, it's not 1989 MIDNIGHTS reigns supreme as Taylors best pop album (and 2nd best right after red).
  19. Poor her. Disney is exploiting such a pure artist
