You look like a ******* clown for complaining about every career move she's made music wise this year only to come here karma farming a day later after the MV comes out Meanwhile: And then when the song came out: Makes me happy you arent a part of this fanbase anymore because you're an exemplification of everything wrong inside that base thread. Bitching and moaning of 40+ pages in the base since July (yes I counted) and then getting EXACTLY what you want from her after bitching about the rollout, about Harlequin, about the movie, about her doing Jazz music. The SECOND the shock wears off and you look at some Spotify numbers and see its not smashing you instantly run in here to call the song boring, the video bad. Not to mention you were also calling DWAS bland and boring because of Bruno Mars when it dropped too. You have no dog in this game you're just here like a mindless imp trying to get reactions out of people in the base, and then you act shocked that you get posts with SO many downvotes. Girl you look like an idiot with no sense of agency or originality in your own opinion. You spent days calling people cupcake fans but are instantly gone after you got EXACTLY what you wanted from her. As I said in the base, GOOD ******* RIDDANCE.39 points

The taste of an acclaimed and respected director or the taste of someone who spends their free time obsessively hating a pop star on a pop music forum33 points

The scene where she's on top of herself has her trampling on her hip The flannel Gaga that attacks her is visibly a tribute to ARTPOP. I think this MV/possibly entire era is a continuation of the themes of the Chromatica Ball, coming to grips with the fact that she spent a decade playing it safe and running away from herself in an attempt to heal herself, not realizing it was only making her more and more sick each time. She runs away from the darkness but ultimately the darkness is what literally gives her life, she can't escape it. The Gaga in the trench coat is the real her. She's picking up where she left us off in 2013 but in the most profound way imagineable, this goes so much deeper than just cosplaying as her old self.33 points

Liddos can't stop bringing up Katy Perry but seem to have a problem when we say they're on the same boat32 points

I don't like Halsey's music and I haven't heard the album, but when will everyone stop giving this pretentious man so much attention? His reviews are purely about getting clicks for ad revenue. With pop girls especially, he just seems to follow whatever the current stan world narrative is so he gets lots of stan engagement. Like, does anyone think he truly would've given Brat a 10/10 if wasn't gauranteed to bring an influx of viewers? I don't even understand how this man became so popular. I've never heard him actually express an intelligent or informed opinion on music — he always reads like he's only pretending to knows what he's talking about, and like he can't reference any music that was released before he started doing reviews29 points

Exactly. Bruno released another song: it's also a mega hit. Gaga released another song: it's a flop. It's REALLY not difficult to see who's doing the heavy lifting with DWAS29 points

If you put the Apple Music chart upside down you'll notice she's rising every new update A big success for Godga28 points

can't at some of y'all saying it should have been set at night like a cliché 'spooky' video, the daytime suburban setting contrasted with the grotesque character and dark themes is exactly why it's so unnerving, so glad she's giving us a new version of DarkGa and not just falling back on TFM aesthetics28 points

Maybe not reducing her battle against chronic illness that almost killed her as "victimhood" would be a good start!28 points

it's a bit audacious to claim a lack of growth when she made a shift with Joanne, explored jazz and even ventured into acting. Meanwhile, your fav continues to rely on the same tired, one-note sound throughout their career. To each their own i guess.27 points

Not sure what some of you are expecting at this point She gave us a 10/10 song and video, the other girls aren't doing this.27 points

Not Gaga's peers being Kim Petras and Charli XCX. Dare I say Charli is actually above her since BRAT was a cultural phenomenon.26 points
