Mariahs christmas song isnt about people still caring about her. Its about THAT SONG. Its become a christmas staple just like all the other christmas songs that are in the top 20. None of them are relevant artists. Sometimes its really about the song not the artist.

well the mess has occured because they were not released as separate entities. Which would be the only truly fair way to resolve the issue. On balance I feel like Beyonce doesnt deserve to get a quick easy #1 because the song has built up its popularity over 8 months already. So that love of the song itself was already there and this fresh take has hopped onto the back of that at a very opportunistic moment. The song was #3. And Im not blaming Beyonce for that she has just got lucky getting the call from Ed way back when.
