131k reputation (3rd week)

her previous third weeks adjusted to 2017's sales climate

102k Fearless
106k Speak Now
101k Red
198k 1989

only 1989 is ahead as I predicted :celestial5:

nobody trusts your adjustment figures after that 5 million Taylor/Britney one. Stick to actual numbers. There is no reliable adjustment formula.

that figure came from Billboard since it's their adjustment formula

they've been using it for a while now :cm:

Another way to compare today's apples to yesterday's oranges is by adjusting for inflation. Everything from food prices to movie revenues are regularly adjusted for shifting currency values -- for example, $100 in 1980 would go as far as $290 would today. The difference, of course, is that music sales have fallen, not risen, since 2000. Adjusting for that contraction, Adele's projected first-week sales would be equivalent to her selling 7.59 million units in 2000.

yes and its nonsense cause all kinds of factors come into play. Different artists have different demographics who are more or less prone to still buying albums. Theres no one size fits all formula. Billboard just wanted to make a fancy graph.

The fact that you guys need to compare Taylor to herself in order to find a drag lol. Her 'standards' still put her far ahead of her current peers bar Adele.

Name me another female that was still doing 3 digit numbers in there 3rd week aside from Adele recently because it sure as hell isnt yours.

I wonder if she’ll be able to recover? This is frightening... and we thought Younger Now was a bomb, gosh, we didn’t know what was coming!

Gosh, this is a bomb if you're only talking about adele stats. If you're bringing up those disgusting bombs (younger now and witness eww) into the conversation, then this is a blockbuster.

Billboard is so embarrassing now. A shame to see what they once were. They need to move on to album equivalents and let their adjustments and inverse chart point methodology rest in piss.

This year most album sales did not increase in Thanksgiving weeks except Christmas albums and huge discounting ones, not only Taylor's(no discount).

This messy assumption based disregarding Napster and the height of illegal downloads tea.

Billboard stays selling dreams

In any event, Taylor slaying for a 3rd week in a row. Good deal

She should easily pass 2M but will have trouble hitting 3M unless she gets a big hit this era.

So now that Mariah is top 5 on Spotify and top 10 on iTunes 3 weeks before Christmas, can she finally go top 10 this year?
