Yeah but i'll argue thats because of how difficult they've made it to download music illegally and how difficult apple makes it to transfer music onto your phone. The average person can't bother to and they're basically forced to stream. This is all calculated.

If it's helping decrease illegal downloading at the same time it's affordable then go for it ... It's amazing, future for music finally looks bright :clap3:

I use streaming platforms because I want to support my artists but I wish all my favourite artists were independent tbh

I don't understand the mindset people against streaming have. Like yeah, artist may not make a lot of money from streaming but they make none from illegal downloads.

first of all I'm not against it because I'm coming from a poor country where most of people don't have money for food let alone for music BUT that doesn't mean that I support it. I think there could be find solution where both parties could be happy - customers having to pay reasonable amount of money to consume music while artist still getting paid aka streaming hence why it's become so popular and continues to grow rapidly with poor countries reporting bigger percentage of streaming to buying. If streaming didn't exist all those countries will be illegally downloading music and artist would suffer. Now streaming may not be as profitable as buying the music but more people are streaming music so artist will still earn their money.
