Perhaps I'm stuck in a mindset where I really like one song during an era I stick to it and forget about everything else that is released. Like I do enjoy the song, just not as much. I spoke too soon about Kelly. Top ten staying mostly stable.. I mentioned this is another thread, but I can't get into Fiona for some reason. I recognize her incredible talent, but I just can't listen and sit through her albums. For 'Bolt Cutters' I listened to the few tracks, and her lyricism is incredible... but maybe I am too tasteless to listen to her repeatedly. I actually wasn't a huge fan of Watermelon Sugar for a while, but it works well as a single so I think the promotion (video/radio release etc) kinda reinvigorated my interest in it. I understand about Fiona since there are many artists who are well acclaimed but just don't really suit my taste. I do generally like female alternative artists though so I gave her album a chance and it's actually amazing, probably one of if not my actual AOTY so far. As for IH I think it just went as far as it could go. It has that emo vibe that I like but it's just not as good as some of their past singles like Mountains and Black Chandelier. Yeah their music definitely reminds me of the more polished sound TDCC has been going for lately, although sometimes I miss the Tourist History sound too. You might want to check out AYBY if you haven't already, it's nothing epic but definitely stronger than the other songs I've heard from them so far. It's actually from last year but they're just releasing it to radio now.
