And I get to update on a Tuesday, right on schedule! Florence + the Machine's Hunger leap frogs to the summit this week. For some reason I thought Florence had already got a #1 on my chart, but upon closer inspection they didn't. Huh. I must be misremembering things. K-Pop's reigning girl group, Twice still commands with the Top 3. Last week's #1 What Is Love? declines (1 - 3). The other song from them which is Likey moves up (7 - 2). Korea their power. Ariana Grande's No Tears Left To Cry once again flip flops, it's current chart run is 2-4-2-4 (2 - 4). Grace VanderWaal's Clearly moves down (4 - 5) as well as Sigala and Pamola Faith's Lullaby (3 - 7). Now let's talk about the purging this week. Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's One Kiss, Dua Lipa's IDGAF, Azealia Banks' Anna Wintour (6 - 8) and The Knocks featuring my All-Time favorite band, Foster the People with Ride Or Die were all kicked out of the Top 10. Our Hot Shot Debut this week is riding from the Korean Wave that I've been experiencing these past weeks. Momoland's Bboom Bboom starts off at #6. The catchy music and their scintillating hip movements really captured me. Childish Gambino's This Is America starts off at #8, I geuinely enjoyed this song even if it's not the genre I usually listen too. Coming off at #9 is Post Malone's Better Now, once again a genre I don't particularly listen to but I love this song more than Rockstar. Finally Arctic Monkeys' Four Out Of Five starts off at #10 with just I think 2 days on the tracking week. Their new album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino has yet to grow on me but Four Out Of Five is a massive bop. Tune in next week, I smell another purging. I really wasn't familiar with her because ATRL threw her under the bus for selling out and working with Dr. Luke this album cycle but I don't care, this song is a major bop. 4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 142 (May 20, 2014) Ariana Grande feat. Iggy Azalea- Problem The duo takes a 2nd week at #1. This Max Martin track is such a blast of a song. I can't help but laugh when Ari recreated Problem's magic with Focus which essentially derailed Moonlight. LMAO, at least we got Dangerous Woman from that misstep. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 246 (May 17, 2016) Laura Tesoro- What's The Pressure It's not only Miss Barei that got love during Eurovision 2016. Laura's charming personality and the funky beat of What's The Pressure really got me grooving. Even though she performed 1st in the Finals, she got 10th place over-all compared to Barei's 22nd place. This was the best song for them at the time for me and I cannot wait for their 2nd album. What propelled Best Friend back to the top? It's because of its amazingly body snatching/Supermodel video. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 248 (May 31, 2016) The Chainsmokers feat. ROZES - Roses While the world was obsessed with what Drew and Other Guy were releasing, ATRL disliked them. But not me, I admit I like their music especially Roses. It isn't bombastic like Don't Let Me Down, which I highly dislike because of that horrid drop. But not Roses, it's earnest and subdued. The lyrics video is really better though.
