No. The charts were urban dominated when it peaked. The song reached number 1 on Top 40.

Of course the US would make "3" and "S&M" #1 but ignore "Toxic," "Everytime," and "Oops."

 

US has always had trash taste in music. UK won.

OIDIA never got a physical single release and digital single sales didn't get added to the Hot 100 until late 2004. Toxic did spend 4 weeks at #1 on Pop radio, but even that was only enough for a #9 placement :jonny:
