It's great to see that Madonna is still performing live at award shows and festivals but it got me thinking why she never promoted during Hard Candy and MDNA when was still at her performance peak.

She did no televised performances at all during HC and only the Superbowl for MDNA. Imagine Give it 2 Me at the VMAs 2008 and Girl Gone Wild at Grammys 2012 with her early 50s energy + dancebreaks

I'm not saying it would have made the songs hits, but I think it would have done a huge amount of goodwill for her reputation (people would still see her as talented!) and have been great promotion for her tours

Making millions, garnering acclaim, and seeing fans on tour was probably a much better use of that time and her mobility tbh.

tbh she was already starting to stiffen up right after the Confessions era. If you look at the clip you showed she was already moving kinda awkwardly in ways she wouldnt have just in the early 2000s for example. That said she is still queen! and her early dance abilities were so beautiful to watch. Loved her body language in general....she encompassed every music video or performance of songs so well.

She would have performed with Timberlake and Nicki Magaj during these eras and it would have been lame like Sabrina. But yeah solo performances would have been nice

After American Life flopped, her US label only focused and promoted lead single performances and marketing for Hung Up and 4 Minutes in the US while paying dust to follow up singles

So I'm glad she stopped caring as much and just went on tour and made her money, she's proven she's still got it in her musically with confessions ll anyway

She was busy raising 4 children by herself and was 3 decades into her career? I doubt she performing on Good Morning America was on top of her list.

No artist will ever get close to her 2000s-2012 tours in terms of phisicality and staging. that was her focus. she would do the show on the same day as a rehearsal and in public.

It was dire though that we always hoped she would show up to something and she never did.

Rebel heart she did multiple performances but the weaknmaterial didnt help

However she didnt waste it. the tours more than made up for eveyrthing

Some of you have literally zero concept of how repetitive motion affects our bodies when we get older and then you use it as a slight against her it makes no sense. Same thing with Mariah and how her voice isn't the same anymore, like what do you people expect? Over TIME, our bodily components age. The physical toll dancing can do on one's body. The concept!

I think it's pretty obvious that Madonna lost her mobility and dancing habilities because of her heavy and disproportional butt implant and not just because of natural aging. And that happened between the MDNA and Rebel Heart eras when she was still in her 50s.

She promoted in Rebel Heart era, tho!
