With the release of Prima, many Goddessela fans complained about her selling out to achieve commercial success in favour of a more generic sound.

Charli deliberately and intentionally did the same with Crash in 2022. Yet, the album was still creative in places and was critically well reviewed. Is this the best sellout album ever? Discuss.

Let those 3 old fans complain. It's her breakthrough era. Focus on commercial for now.

i do feel like it's necessary to have a "sellout" era for an artist, it builds the foundation for an artist, that later can have more artistry freedom.

Nelly's Loose is a very interesting example, it's crazy how a sellout album went on to be so influential for pop music.
