This is the first I'm hearing that awful Esther song was nominated for a Grammy

Anyway it's obvious she burnt a lot of bridges when she left RCA and I wouldn't be surprised if she's been actively shut out of Grammy noms by bitter execs.

Who's this clown interviewing her, and how do you not do your research when you invite artists on your podcast...

the R&B bloc is weird with alt. R&B-ish artists, especially the women. It took SZA -- and is taking Summer Walker -- way too long to win.

Sad and disappointing that the best chance for her to win is in the Dance/Electronic and maybe the music video categories.

He's actually a fun interviewer, he's good at making his guests feel comfortable. Even if he did know Tinashe hasn't been nominated for a Grammy, why would he go into the interview preparing to ask Tinashe "So you've never won a Grammy, how does that make you feel?" but her bringing it up herself and him being shocked probably makes her feel much more comfortable anyway...

Ugh I feel so bad for her when she said she gave the dream of a Grammy up and then she goes all quiet and awkwardly clears her throat. The Academy is so ******, it's insane Tinashe has never even been nominated, I hope she gets her flowers with Popstar.

She couldn't really push for the big awards when she was independent, and RCA was a fumble after fumble, so is it really surprising? Popstar will definitely score her some nominations.

The thing is that Tinashe kinda always flew under the radar. Her first VMA nomination was Nasty two years ago, in "Best Trending video", not even for choreo or best female... It's wild how underrated she is.

She was with RCA for years, and they're one of the worst labels. They probably didn't even submit her music for consideration.

15 minutes? Tinashe has been hustling for almost 20 years and is one of the most talented pop girls out there.
