Such an incredible album. Some of her best writing. Guilty As Sin?, My Boy, BDILH, So Long, London, Fresh Out The Slammer, TSMWEL, loml, imgonnagetyouback, The Black Dog, Chloe et al, I Hate It Here,

A drudge. The production is bland and the songs blend into each other to a sleepy degree.

Her most lore rich album, very rewarding as a fan of the artist. The kind of project anyone would feel grateful to have from their fav. I understand it's far too bloated for casual listeners but for m

Great idea and concept bloated with filler tracks in order to gain more streams. I dont care what anyone says about it. Clearly it could be a 13 track + 5 bonus tracks album but in the end as a whole it needs some trimming.

compared to TLOAS this is an incredible album. I rly like it, just wish it wasn't so long

Also, not nearly enough love for I Can Fix Him! Fun song lyrically and I appreciate that it's something a little different production wise. The Country turn a few of the songs took was most welcome clap3

Looking at the tracklist, the only ones I really don't really vibe with are

-I Can Do It With A Broken Heart (I get it's purpose on the album and I love the idea of it...the chorus is just such a letdown)

-The Alchemy (It's cute but very meh. I also feel like this song makes way more sense as being originally written about Matty... she just threw some football metaphors in there to make it fit Travis)

-Thank You Aimee (It's cute, but doesn't add anything to the story of the album. I'm someone who believes the song is actually about a childhood bully when she was trying to start pursuing music, it makes way more sense that way...which makes the Kim K red herring even more annoying because what's the point?)

-Cassandra (Also doesn't add anything to the story of the album. Mad Woman did what she was trying to do on this song better)

-Robin (It's very cute, just unnecessary)

In retrospect this album was a RISK! and it has aged like the finest of wines! Guilty As Sin? has become one of Her all-timers, up there with Enchanted, August, All Too Well, Blank Space and the entirety of Evermore! Just wow.

The best moment on the alber:

'cause we're..... craaaaaaaaazy

so tell me... who else is gonna, loooooooooooooooooooove ME!

Some great songs, but way too many lows. and the first signs of her cringey songwriting (which took over TLOAS) started showing.

Completely disagree

An artist's job is to express themselves, not appeal or reclute more fans or people, that already contaminates the intention

Again you are doubling down her intention, releasing that much tracks is only for commercial purposes

That is why so many people hate the album

But that WAS her expressing herself, she had 31 tracks worth of things to say and any actual fan would love to get that much of a data dump from their artist during one of their most emotionally turbulent periods. Hell I would love a 31 track Gaga album where she lets it all out in the music! Just because you don't personally enjoy the output doesn't mean the intention behind it was commercial success. And to top it off, I don't think any of the despair filled ballads on TTPD were released to become sleeper streaming hits rip

i only use fortnight, down bad, bdilh, guilty as sin, loml, waolom, broken heart, tsmwel, and so high school

Only songs that did it for me were My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys and So Long London- which is brilliantly written imo. The album's not for me and I do get that you either hate it or love it, but I have to laugh at the "misunderstood" claims like it's some niche, obscure album that didn't sell like crazy and didn't get multiple Grammy nominations including AOTY, ROTY, SOTY and BPVA deadbanana2

Truly monotone, monotonous, boring nonsense.

It's not good and never will be no matter how much gaslighting from Swiffer jets. blackoutbaby

Many great songs, but many more really bad or at best average songs which makes it a pretty bad project overall. Biggest culprit is the flat production on most songs that otherwise could have been pretty decent.

we have this same general topic about this album every few months and im tired of repeating myself on how bad this album is. it cant be that hard to remember the responses from the last thread rip

I'm not fond on the album. But that's mainly because I'm more of a melody type and the album is completely void of those.

I do love Guilty Of Sin though. That song is a career highlight.

Edited by blown away

It's up there with RED and Evermore in terms of absolute career highs

Chloe and oomfs, I Look In People's Windows, Guilty As Sin, Fresh Out The Slammer, The Manuscript, Peter and The Bolter are all top 20 of her discography.

This album gave me faith that her pen is still as lethal as ever...until she released Slopgirl.

I only really see diehard swifties ever praising it at this point, the only songs I use are fortnight and loml. the rest is a bloated mess, this was the album that made me fully unstan her permanently.

*Thank God Ramona gif*

Some filler but generally a strong album with some career highlights. It was my most listened to album of 2024 and 2025.

It revealed itself as an instant classic, and it's only aged as the finest wines. It's more bloated than Evermore, the other album it fights with for my #1 favorite, but I think the anthology is truly deserved and really makes the entire thing more complex and devestating. The Black Dog, Chloe etc., How Did It End, I Hate It Here, The Prophecy, I Look in People's Windows... she wasn't well and she let us know it. It's her at her rawest, her most bare. I still kinda can't believe she let us get this. Timing was everying. As we see, her creative output took a dramatic turn following her love bubble, and good for her, but good for us that we got to see her at her lowest. She says so many things here that most people would take to the grave. I think the microwave vs. oven metaphor, the juxtaposition of an intense quick flame out and an agonizingly long over half decade relationship, and the fact that she puts them on equal playing field, is epic af. It was pure creative angst flowing out of her. I kinda have to pray on her downfall if we're gonna get good music unless she goes back to Evermore biblicalness again. Give us more Ivy, Tis the Damn Season, Tolerate It, Right Where you Left Mes queen... I know that girl still exists, we saw her in spades on TTPD.
