Who is the most respected pop girl at the moment?

Featured Replies

This will vary by demographics to an extent for some groups it's Beyonce for others it's Tate McRae but on an overall even level who is widely seen the most talented, classy and an undeniable master of their craft?

All the ones who are dead. Female pop stars don't get the respect they deserve until they pass away unfortunately

Lady Gaga

Shakira is by far the most respected popgirl for the general public.

Probably Beyoncé. Her enviable performing talents combined with an undeniable body of work make her untouchable. She's the most awarded artist too.

Nobody. The public is more interested in dragging these girls for their small missteps than drag Trump

Beyoncé and Rosalía

People be sleeping on Rosalía but if you have true music legends like U2 writing songs about you, and acknowledging you as the definitive talent of our generation, you are truly respected.

Adele, you wont hear a casual, fellow musicians and the whole GP say bad about her only the obsessed certain fanbase lol

Celine Dion, seems like everyone likes her. Dolly was, Adele, even tho that one is more like neutral.

Does pinkpantheress count? I've genuinely never seen someone hate or write hate about herself, only that they don't really like her music

of the current crop, it's olivia rodrigo (ignoring her weirdo swiftie haters).

see when you continuously release quality music with mass appeal...

I feel like she is not on the radar enough for people to have an idea either way. The new Dua Lipa

Madonna. I see nothing but respect for her following the VMA perf

Otherwise, Olivia is kinda the it girl now to feel fitted in "oh I like her too"

Adele is probably the closest tho she still get hate from time to time for being boring, losing her weight, and ofc stans. I know Celine is her equivalent but she was loathed during her prime, hence why she had to semi-retire by 2000.

Female artists will always have it harder given that the GP (incl women at that) will always crucify them for one way or another. You can be talented and stay on their graces and you will still be dragged for some reason.

Alive? Beyoncé.

1) Her longevity (she'll be celebrating 30 years of her music career next year). And still gets alot of attention from the GP.

2) Is very talented, has strong sales (sells out her tours and gets platinum albums), and has all the awards to back her up.
