Opss, I missed the part where this happened because the dog scaped. Thought it happened inside the house where the dog lives. Yeah. Bad owner.

Dogs suck. We just rescued a kitten and our dog is not being nice to her (kitten stays in the bathroom but she accidentally gets out sometimes and she sticks her paws under the door). My mom is threatening to get rid of our dog if she does something to the kitten.

Dogs are the mirror of their owners. I have a dog myself and I would never allow her to run like this to the neighbours house. On the other side, if someone threatens to kill my dog, I would destroy them.

First of all, it is the responsibility of the owners to train their dog to a new circumstance.

And then, your mother is an idiot if she gives away a pet she probably owns for years and wants to give it away because she's incompetent. Will probably happen to the cat, too at some point.

It's the dog owner's fault. The dog went on his neighbor's property. If it happened on the dog owner's property it would be different because that would just be a dog protecting their home, but since the dog went to hunt the cat outside its home then yeah, the owner is definitely at fault.

I absolutely love dogs but I despise dog owners who aren't capable of training their dog properly and having the infrastructures necessary to keep them and others safe. Cause it's really not that hard...
