It seems like Amazon Music has a big impact on the Billboard/US streaming charts. There's like 4 common songs in the Top 5 of both charts....Do you use Amazon Music?

Well from what small amount of tea I can give you from behind the scenes, country is the #1 genre in North America now and every label's priority for new artists. It's not random that suddenly you have all these new country songs smashing. The festivals and tours are bigger than ever too, there's a lot of money in it. It comes with an in-built culture and audience and no shade but the bar is low in terms of songwriting, a lot of these songs sound like AI. The songs all sound samey so as a result playlisting works a lot better for country because the audience uses those playlists much more rn, especially on platforms like AM and Amazon Music. So it's easier to push new artists and songs.

Country music is the trendy genre currently. You can tell because it's currently on a rapid rise here in the UK as well lol.

Same hits for pandora US (40+ active users):

1 I can't love you anymore

2 Been By Now

3 Boston

4 Jaded

7 I knew it I knew you

Proof that the USA must be bombed to oblivion, once and for all. What a plague.

(this is hyperbole by the way, before you all report me... I don't really mean this, please I HAVE AMERICAN FRIENDS!!!=)

Every genre has their moment to shine in the U.S., but with this current administration, I would doubt both farms are being used.

I think we need to stop pretending that Boston is country

This, its closer to Lisa Loeb than country

And when taytay does go back to full country for TS13…. I fear the landscape will change to country dominance for the next foreseeable future…

Most plausible explanation is people are using Amazon to stream the music they're too embarrassed to stream on Spotify.

All of these country hits now but when our ATRL girlies were going "country", NONE of them smashed-smashed, yes, including Texas Hold Em (but a #1 is a #1).

Gen Z is rejecting our MPGs.
