Jameela Jamil says botox is prison

Featured Replies

The Good Place actress shared a lengthy message on Instagram Tuesday, September 2, criticizing the use of Botox among women:

"I can't look at Botoxed faces anymore. I miss the faces that move," Jamil began her text post. "I miss women frowning and laughing without it looking painful." Jamil, 40, went on to say that she has watched her peers inject "all the wild" out of themselves, something she admitted she misses "erribly. While stressing that she didn't intend to judge or offend those who use Botox, she argued that women are giving up something important in pursuit of a particular appearance. "I just miss the facial freedom of women," she wrote. "Botox is a prison that presents as stoicism in a time women should be ******* ROARING. We should not be paying to take risks with our faces and health, to be tamed by a bunch of men who fancy children. I can't watch TV anymore without being distracted by how expressionless my favourite actors have become," she continued. "It's too much. We have lost a grip on reality.

I hate botox, never seen one person who looked good with it

Woman with perfect skin telling other women they shouldn't try and look like her

Let people do whatever they want with their body, my god rip deeply unserious when she uses botox herself.

This girl always has something to say and funny enough, it's complaining about something.

That's because we only notice the bad cases. It's meant to be subtle and most are undetectable and well done.

I just can picture in my head her smiling every time she speaks about something one woman or another is doing that's harming other women & gets validation. Always posting something on Instagram, I never hear her DOING something to help.

People love to shorten her quotes and use them as clickbait, but I think if people actually gave themselves a chance to stop feeling the immediate need to respond to a headline, they’d find out she has a lot of thoughtful commentary they might even agree with

Really why is she even relevant after all that mess

Lock her, Jada Smith and Lizzo in a room and throw away the key, please.

So btw there are many 25/26 yo woman getting botox at the moment. In a big city you see these faces all the time and its bizarre. also we will soon learn thay botox isnt as harmless for the brain as it was advertised

Anne Hathaway looks great

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but why not just let people do whatever make them feel their most confident? I also agree that it can be overdone, but when tastefully done, I think it looks great. Again though, everyone is different.

There is a big difference from botox to fillers. Never had any of them, but my sister that is in her early 40s looked really good with a bit of both, but the key word is a "bit", not too much. But that's in real life, for acting I do believe that botox can be a prison if overdone.

Did she lie though

This isn't an original opinion, it's something loads of people have said, especially as it concerns actresses not being able to emote because of too much botox. So, idk why some people are acting like she personally came into their house and took their botox away rip
