So many classics. Thalia might have been the bigger celebrity internationally thanks to her novelas and a few songs, but Paulina definitely had the HITS. It really sucks that Mexican pop in general really took a nosedive in the 2010's.

Besides her most known singles, I also enjoy "Algo de ti", "Suave y sutil" or "Me gustas tanto".

But my fave song is "Si tú te vas". It's pop perfection.

Brushing off entire countries and populations this way is heavily racist. You better check yourself. Being famous in the west isn't the only way to legitimize success or value.

And yes, thanks to telenovelas, Thalia reached more international audiences than Paulina did in the 90's. That was the way for latin americans to reach international audiences prior to the internet. And Thalia's music was even more successful in the 2010's than Paulina's was, even with her X-Factor gig.

The Queen has an immaculate discography so it changes from time to time between "Algo De Ti", "Baila Que Baila" or her cover of "Aunque No Sea Conmigo". LOVEEEEE the hip hop beats on those two latter hymns.

This gem and Antologia are literally the best Spanish female pop ballads ever released.

You sound ignorant and are definitely downplaying Thalia's appeal in several non-spanish speaking countries in the early 2000's. Being successful across several different countries outside of your cultural and ethnic group is what defines someone as an international success.

There's a very small list of Spanish speaking Latin Americans that ever even charted outside North and South America, and she's one of them. She was charting #1 albums in Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, the Philippines, and still hit South Korea, Japan, and was huge in Brazil, which almost none of her Mexican peers outside of RBD were able to do. And yes, a lot of that is due to the major international successes of the novelas she starred in. People on this forum claim artists are "international" when they really want to imply someone is only international if they're successful in English-speaking territories outside the US. It's even worse that you're trying to downplay her global appeal outside of Latin America and the US when comparing her to Paulina Rubio, who is barely able to sell out theatres in the US anymore or even chart in Mexico now.
