Ahead of filming commencing on next year's series of The Voice UK this September, The Sun newspaper reports that Cheryl and Aitch are set to join the show as new coaches - replacing Danny Jones & Tom Fletcher and Kelly Rowland.

Earlier this week The Mirror newspaper reported that Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon are set to become the new hosts of The Voice UK for the 2027 series following the departure of Emma Willis who joins Strictly Come Dancing this Autumn.

It will be her first time back on TV since The Greatest Dancer in 2020, and her first big role since Liam Payne's death in 2024. Aside from this, she's also been the face of Nivea in the UK since 2025.

I had no idea The Voice was still going? No offence but what's the point of a show that's supposed to be about making the next star, but has only ever produced one "star" in the form of Becky Hill

Right, like I love her too but her, will.i.am and Aitch all judging a singing competition together is kind of a squeal.

She should've done the Traitors

She declined S2 of Celebrity Traitors (and also declined The Voice 2026). I think she'll only ever go back into the limelight this much if she's comfortable with the project, and since she's been friends with Will and Alesha since the 2000s (and also knows Stacey) it must've felt right for her.

Plus she probably wants to be there for Bear more than ever and Traitors would've meant spending several weeks in Scotland during school term time.

tbf Alesha is equally as weak of a vocalist as Cheryl. Stacey could outsing everyone else involved but her music career bombed and people know her as a presenter and influencer now at least I hope

love Nadine down but she does Sunderland Pride for a cheque. She would definitely take the role if offered, and she was a guest judge on that weird music game show(?) I Can See Your Voice a few years ago

Alesha literally carries the entire Mis-Teq reunion on her back.

X Factor I get, because she has that in spades. The Voice ... well. I actually adore her tone of voice, and she sounded great (it surprised me) when I saw Girls Aloud on their latest tour, but she needs exactly the right song and her range is incredibly limited. It's just a weird fit for this format.

I think this is too much of a 'friendly' show for Cheryl. I really don't see her having the same kind of banter or a good snark as she had with a Simon or Louis etc.

Love Cheryl but that would be way too much and risky for her since her life has always been very hmm messy? People would be trying to ask her stuff about her past and life. And it's not "scripted". I'm sure that's why she'd never do that.

This is a cute check for her… not excited and won't watch but it's good to have her back somehow.
