Sam Smith's brand new album Hazel Eyes spawned zero hits and is expected to not even debut on the Billboard 200, yet nobody seems to care? What makes their flop album so extra uneventful?

People always say this, but I feel like it's not the full truth. The music fans who care a lot about charts/sales, big-budget costumes and performances, etc. are gays & theater kids who stan almost exclusively women in pop. The reason men aren't held to those standards as much is because they aren't on the radar to begin with

The whole reason there was public outrage over Katy is because people care. A fate a lot worse for an artist is that no one cares at all. Sam is truly over, I think Katy still has a shot.

i bought the CD from CDJapan before even listening to any of the single just because i loved the artwork. lowkey i hate the album. im gonna give it a few more listens but yeah i was listening to it in part at work and did not enjoy it

LIzzo also was constantly on twitter talking about it and how her singles were flopping, making up constant theories as to why no-one was supporting her even before the album was released.
