I can't stand liberals online anymore

Im liberal btw obviously, but I just saw a video of a gay guy wearing a red hat, not maga, he was talking about fashion, the liberals in the comment section attacking him for looking like a fascist, the user us also liberal/leftist btw

This is just a mild example.

Im tired of the fake outrage performances, the competition for who is more left, the unnecessary and consistent need to make everything political

The real ones bringing good messages get buried in the algorithm and we get the clown rage-bait loudest and most ridiculous povs going viral all the time

There is such a fatigue now, like if I see a Maga post I consider it so ridiculous and laugh, but I rather laugh than to see another performative piece of **** pretending to care about X issue.

I think the entire way liberal politics are managed online needs a reset cause is just pathetic in 2026

Politics are so ridiculously divisive and this is yet another example of it rip

There are over the top people on both sides the only difference that the far right is also dangerous and dumb

Anyway, OP: anyone that tries virtue signaling left or right online is annoying, I agree. It's all become a circus of self righteousness. Fans using politics to try and one-up the fans of other artists that aren't even MAGA, news outlets fanning the flames of an already divided world, and social media algorithms blatantly peddling propaganda meant to either indoctrinate or infuriate people has all become a circus. But then again, the heart of politics has always been "divide and conquer" so they're definitely winning that war.

Those are right-wing deep state agents trying to stop leftism from becoming more popular

Been thinking about this too lately. My issue is that few actually bother to hear each other out on an individual basis, and the minute something is said that "sounds like" what [x] would say then you're labeled as such

As a liberal, we really do need to stop eating our own. It's like there's a need by social media to take any prominent left leaning celeb/candidate for not having the exact same, correct stance on every single issue. We somehow still don't even have a decent candidate for the next election because the internet takes them down before they even start rip

That being said, annoying, performative outrage is still WAY better than the racist, sexist rhetoric spewed by right-leaning celebrities, candidates, and influencers.

damn. I guess your ex-conservative era wasn't giving what you hoped. Oh well, the right can take you back now, they love stupid

Politics are complex. People want everything dumbed down to a stan 1 vs 1 stan war, but it's not realistic.

Liberal is something that is related to economics while leftism is a wider ideological mark.

Colloquialism. Liberal and left are the same to people that aren't deeply invested in politics. I understand the difference matters, but when discussing right vs left, liberal & conservative act as colloquial stand ins for the average civilian.

If you lack the capacity of self-reflection you need to develop your brain more

My OP is a critique of everything wrong with the political side I believe in

Because tbh liberals are seen as annoying to most people that are in the middle who ultimately have the last word in elections.

It's interesting to see how social media has impacted each side of the aisle.

Obviously the right is more susceptible to disinformation and anti-intellectualism fueled by distrust of the system and institutions.

But the left has this weird problem where we're addicted to the dopamine hit you get from feeling morally superior, to the extent where we will nitpick the most pedantic **** and convince ourselves it has meaning or purpose, just so we can get that righteous dopamine hit.

Liberals need smarter ways to approach people without being annoying

Going more woke might be the right way, but not in the way its done now

No offense but nothing about the libs you complain about come any close to the absolute cringe fest right-wingers produce/create discourse on.

The Elon Musk/ai Odyssey crap for example is infinitely worse than cultural appropriation or whatever it is you find annoying about libs...

Idk. There's so much real destruction going on right now with our current government, and government across the globe, that I really can't be bothered to point my finger and choose...annoying liberal tweets to be my #1 issue to complain about right now rip Talk about misdirection. Especially when you're just falling for rage-bait by bots most likely.

Unless these liberals are blue MAGA and Zionists then yes we hate you too!

The example you provided is an outlier, most liberals are not like that. Social media is a brain rot, if you go in any comment section you will literally see the worst comments propped up, but its not accurate to the general liberal population. Look at the people around you, are they doing this? Your own followers? The people you personally know? I highly doubt it. A better question for you is why are you personally getting so triggered by this, that you have to make a thread about it? What does that achieve, other than simply fueling the MAGA agenda even more? For every extreme liberal comment on social media, there literally hundreds MAGA ones that spew the most bigoted **** on the planet.

Liberals aren't the annoying ones. You're confusing them with leftists/communists, they are the loudest on the Internet.
