I agree though, AI could lead to breakthroughs in medicine hopefully, but I fear governments only want to use AI for warfare and surveillance which is scary

To be fair, it wasn't an "ICE exec". It was a board member of an engineering company that was passed down a contract to improve conditions at an ICE facility a few months ago. He was invited because he was Travis' childhood friend's dad, and I doubt they knew his job's recent updates. Obviously not a good look either way, but yeah.
