Is this still the cringiest speech ever made by a MPG?

The silence during all her "hold for applause" sectionsahh

So much second hand embarrassment. Can you think of any other MPG speech that was cringier and more embarrassing or is this it?

The Lana shoutout is really the only tolerable moment here

"Now I'm being cast a villain to you? Okay, here's an album called Reputation and there are lots of snakes everywhere."

This part tickles me so much laugh

A question for the culture;

I'm sure a Lana Grammy speech would be in the running if such a thing existed

pikachoo

It was incredibly self-indulgent for a 15 minute speech yes. But at the same time, what do you expect from a speech that honors her as woman of the decade, obviously she will reflect on her past career.

The silences were awkward tho, you can tell that the audience was not vibing with it at all. I dont think she cares tho.

Thought it would be something from Gaga.

Never saw this before I think, just the viral clip where no one claps

I feel like Jameela really didn't need to stand there for the whole thing rip

Open the schools!

I guess in a different context maybe but this was an event put together in part to honor her award so it makes sense to me that the speech addressed her broader career and the controversies within it. This follows a very similar format to most Woman of the Year speeches.
