Can't remember ever being so disappointed in a public figure's reveal as a hateful individual. I thought she was such an innovator and she made me proud to be Irish - her last album was truly AOTY material. Experimental and poignant and fun all at once. For a pop musician to peak so late in their career and be so well received critically was so cool. I wish I could separate art from artist but I can't. She's truly lost to me. Considering she has built her platform on the grace and support of the queer community I can't see how she can move forward professionally. She will deservedly become just another ignorant insular internet agonistic voice. The shame she's brought on her own legacy is up there with N*cki M*naj

sometimes i guess resentment over poor career choices (and overall lack of any sort talent whatsoever) can result in developing serious mental issues. she's an irrelevant nobody, giving any notice to the words of this pathetic individual is useless - educating ignorant beasts like is a must in this climate, but i guess it's very hard to do for people in the 50-70 range (idk and idc how old she is and if she's younger than 50 with that face she has bigger issues to think about)

If she doesn't think it's appropriate to medicate children, why is it tagged as transphobic right away? Genuine question.

I think tweeting stuff like this and supporting organisations like these is more than just "believing children shouldn't be medicated" (which is a curated target propagandised lie on its own anyway).

I thought she was only against children transitioning at a young age (based on the tweets on the first page).

By the way this is also a transphobic myth, children are not medically transitioning until they are cleared to do so by expert evaluation, some of them only get puberty blockers which is not transitioning, and is 100% reversible upon stopping said medication.

The only transition they usually get is socially affirming their circumstances so there is safe space for them to express themselves as they are supposed to do.
