Katy Perry taking a break: "See you when I'm ready."

She definitely had an album ready and would release it if her last 2 singles didn't completely bomb but oh well. It's not like they were good songs anyway so maybe this is for the better.

So she lied when she specifically said she didn't have anymore songs or plans for an album?

    Funfact you can double 143's metacritic score and it would still be lower than MAYHEM

I feel like she's lying and her next album is going to be called smell the roses or something rip

For me this is not really important considering that Katy hasn't had a significant album since 2013.

No one is denying she isn't a Pop Icon like she has one of the biggest Pop albums of this Century but her fans needs to move on from those golden days.

I wonder if she would've announced this if Bandaids and WIB smashed

Preach.

Somehow got the gut feeling she will return in autumn with another same old same old lyricism and sounds. foxaylove2

Idk what she said but it's obvious that she and her label hoped that the recent resurgence of TOTGA would boost her new songs as well but obviously that didn't happen so I guess she was lowballing and just waited to see how WIB would perform before announcing an album.

Good she deserves this break she's worked her beep off heart2. I'm gonna miss her but totally understand the break.

You are so cruel to her.

Hope she takes her time off to come renewed and with an amazing new work.

@KatyPrismSpirit tomorrow

She really was just tarnishing her reputation with the last few singles albums.

I do hope she can manage to either stay away long enough that she can come back to people actually WANTING new music from her, or at least come back and start making more authentic music without trying so hard to be this pop bop star, because that label wrinkled up and peeled off a while ago.
