She definitely had an album ready and would release it if her last 2 singles didn't completely bomb but oh well. It's not like they were good songs anyway so maybe this is for the better.

That's a good thing. Aside from obviously enjoying her life and family, artistically, she needs some fresh ideas and this hiatus might just be the key.

Finally, she needs to go live her life and grow as a person outside of the spotlight. Maybe pick up that guitar again and write from a place of authenticity without any outside pressure of making a hit/album.
