I am glad she will be taking a break, and I believe that if she needs help that she will seek it during this break. The multiple things can be true at once seem like somewhat of an acknowledgement. I'm glad she's getting to experience all this love from her real fans (seeing her on tour) atm. Wishing her nothing but success, rest, love, health, happiness, and peace.

She doesn't need to address anything from the people who have directed negativity at her. She doesn't need to hang her head in shame and apologize for any wrongdoing as she's done nothing wrong. She is talking to her actual fans and reassuring them that she's in a good place and that she will work whatever she's got going on privately on her own terms. Nothing else needs to be said.

Thank God. I truly hope she actually gets the professional help she needs, it's literally her only option at this point.

She's addressed it many times and she's said what she thinks of it many times. It's always fallen on deaf ears. She doesn't want to hear what people have to say about her own body because it's not their body and she's working on herself privately.

I don't think she has to really because... she deserves to keep her peace. If she does have an ED, what does that help to put that on full display in front of the world to see? I think her statement was the best she could give, reassuring people it wasn't due to recent developments and a bout of self awareness and positive outlook, and part of the criticism also lies on Republic

Also yeah, people are concerned, as they should be, but some people's concern is bending over to being snarky and judgemental and putting a moral value on her EDs (all mental illnesses are morally neutral and they make people do absolutely shitty things you don't agree with), comparing and editing her to a skeleton, calling her atrophyiana/anorexiana, etc -- I reckon there is a point where it goes from concern to active snark and negativity

Love her, glad she is taking a break, she has been hard at work the past 2-3 years and deserves to recharge and heal outside of the public eye

By "multiple things can be true" and making sure to say it wasn't bc of the negativity was her way to address that there's something else going on and she'll use the break to take care of it. It might be for her mental health, or a physical issue. Or both

Praying for the safety and wellbeing of both her and her fans. This has easily been one of the worst things to stomach and I pray reflection and rest are in her future.

She didn't say it was bad for her because it will stop them from working and as someone who has utilised antidepressants in the past, you can drink on them. More bs you're putting into her mouth. It's also not unhealthy to take antidepressants it's a responsible and necessary thing for many, many people and shouldn't be stigmatised. Sometimes it's better to stay silent and have people think you're a fool, than to open your mouth and remove any doubt.
