Crazy that people are still believing their OWN headcanon about her situation and strutting around like they're proving a point or something skull Some of you people are ******* loons

This place always been a loony bin, that's what happens when a culture is developed where 'jokes' and serious stuff get mixed all the way up and nobody can tell anymore what is what. In a way pop culture obsession can develop into a pathology of its own.

Regardless, I hope she comes out of this stronger.

We really need a ZTP for these kinds of comments. This is getting really inappropriate and downright offensive.

This is the right decision. When someone destroys themself with heroin or alcohol then employers have the right to say enough. I'm not saying that's what happening here, but this level of ill health shouldn't be celebrated nor advertised, it's exploitative and harmful. I understand the points about having tags put on her ig posts however this level of accountability is actually quite refreshing, It seems for the majority to be rooted in love and concern. To expect a person with such severe body image issues to put their body on a stage day after day when they're clearly in a crisis with their condition is practically loading the gun.

You are so ******* stupid jesus. Go watch the fuvking video and figure out what message she's trying to say

I know what the message is. You're failing to see the message within the message, where the men observe her in her current state, and consider her "overweight".

Considering that Ari is aware she's seen as underweight by the public and that she's even acknowledged that perception, as well as previously associating to ED behaviour in the past, it's pushing the narrative to people watching that she gets ridiculed for needing to lose weight.

Which is purposely designed to feed the validation that people with ED often push to others, knowingly or unknowingly. This is why you'll see circles like EDtwt try to validate their weight loss as social pressure by "body checking", to show off aspects that pass certain benchmarks, and will compare themselves to others, often in toxic ways like this where they post either themselves or others in underweight images implying they're overweight.

Which in the video, Ari immediately does in the very next scene, she knowingly showcases her frame as one large body check in unnatural positions, after being told she was "overweight" in the previous scene.

I love Ari and I absolutely wish her the best in everything, but this video was on purpose.

She wanted people to feed into her hopes that they will discuss her weight, and validate her feelings. "She's said she's healthy", "healthy looks different on everyone", "she looks great" etc. The issue now that things are leaning overwhelmingly in a direction she didn't expect, because unfortunately it's safe to say she's deep into it at this stage.

This was not a video that someone makes where they don't want you talking about their body. They didn't get the outcome they expected.

I hope she gets the help she needs because once you get to this point where you're in denial or even having delusions about how people see you, it's hard to go back from this point mentally.

This is an interesting read on the psychology of ED. Thank you.

thank you for explaining this. eating disorders (assuming this is one and not some other illness) rely upon an insidious psychological mindset and gaslighting of others to an extent. one needs to only look at taylor's "miss americana" doco to see how it goes down. taylor worked through her personal demons and began her imperial era. i want the same for Ari and to see her fighting fit for decades to come hughard

I actually didnt want to engage because a lot has been said already, but I feel the need to point out how absolutely disgusted I am by comments such as "have a nice vacation" or "that means you'll have time to write new songs".. like are you for real? Ari is around 5feet tall. For her bones to stick out like that means she probably weighs around 40kg. That is dangerous teritory. This is no joke. And ED is a horrible disease that is a lifetime of a battle. Her entire relationship to food, her body and stress is completely damaged. Many people literally die because of ED every year, and trust these people have not the world looking at them and commenting on everything 24/7. Yet some of you only think of her as a machine that will produce and produce. Its honestly disgusting.

Well deserved, she needs to rest and stay away from the public.

they released the statement on release week and during tour, they thought it would help but at this point i dont think anything would help. not even a direct video from her. at the end of the day it comes down to her being and doing good. she should absolutely take the time off. i said before that the tour shouldnt have happened at all

Her fans only mentioning how she won't be doing promo, ruining the album rollout and letting the 'haters' win is so dystopian.

Who cares about promo if even her camp is acknowledging she needs help

I'm glad she's taking a break. My girl needs help and you weirdo fans trying to make it out to be an attack on her body can all go play in traffic. I get hungry for her just looking at her.

I'm actually sad about Sunday in the Park. I was so excited.

But I hope she gets all the time she needs and takes care for herself. I also hope she has a good support system around her heart

This is not the way to discuss this.

Honestly, this is the time to get help. I get a lot of money is involved but that tour needs to be cancelled and she needs to get help.

that last video of hers was filled with weird symbolism; what were they doing ?

most people defending her also don't think of the impact she has on young people

hope she has the time to reflect and heal

This ChatGPT response after - again - being outed as not actually having watched the video that you didn't even know the actual sequence to. rip

You as the general public turn her weight and appearance into a major discussion point around everything she does and then weaponize it against her by claiming her addressing it directly is actually evidence of an unchecked illness. You claimed body checks exist in a video you didn't actually watch because you claimed things happen in the video that never actually did.

It's fundamentally a literacy problem and your post was on the same level of the people on TikTok claiming she is wearing cow print to represent being fat when a painting is hung above the men's heads with men riding horses and chasing after cattle with the same color as her outfit. rip

"She's actually secretly wanting us to discuss her weight as validation of being skinny!"

It's quite literally a song that directly addresses it's not your business whether she's failing or succeeding at being well and a video that shows the culpability in those who claim to be concerned for her well-being as causing the struggles she is clearly acknowledging she has. If you're the men who have ruined her life and who she feels the urge to.murder, why do you think you'd be entitled to her then medical diaries and records? Watch the video. rip

y'all looooove to use "our kids" in every argument about women, but what really pisses me the **** off about this whole situation is that y'all don't care about kids! it's just another one of your excuses to use just to drag out this woman specifically, cause when was the last time you cared for kids? our kids are watching the kids in Gaza being starved to death and bombed everyday but y'all will just say "oh that's so sad :(" and that's about it.
