So I've noticed that despite Nicki Garbaj going full Trump sycophant, she somehow still has supporters and fellow travelers, even on this very forum that claims to be so progressive and anti-fascist. What are we doing?

This goes beyond plausible deniability. Nicki is a full throated MAGA worm that sings Trump's praises day in and day out. She and Elon Musk (racist fascist) are besties. She proudly spreads anti vaxx and pro-conservative propaganda.

I'm perplexed and just have to wonder, how are they not humiliated to be associated with someone so vile that has betrayed her own fans for her own self interests?

It makes one think that, if even Nicki could retain a fanbase after going MAGA, the bigger and more talented names could probably survive such an about face as well. People will really sacrifice their moral compass for their faves, who aren't even giving them much in return!

Because a lot of stans are parasocial freaks who are completely unwilling to acknowledge when their fave does something wrong, and will do anything to defend & be like them. If someone like Ariana or Taylor suddenly came out as MAGA, yes there would be backlash, but there would also be a huge influx of young girls and gays turning MAGA

Personally, I just find it so hypocritical that it took all this MAGA stuff for so many people (and celebrities) to finally cut ties with her. Like y'all were still okay with all the pedo collabs, marrying a rapist and a million other repulsive things she has done Okay, good that she finally crossed a line for you to stop supporting her. I don't care what an artists beliefs are, I listen to the music. Most of your faves probably have maga family and friends, it's just how you handle it and it's part of life. The fact that you clutch your pearls at a maga supporter is unrealistic and childish tbh
