I know you have the dumbest takes on this forum but this was your worst. People that suffer from EDs struggle with it all of their lives it doesn't mean they are healthy.

She is frequently body checking (and i feel like she hired a plus sized dancer for this reason too) and her hair is thinning bad, to expect the world to be mental health experts on handling ED's is unrealistic.

I love Ariana, I love her new album, I love her spirit and energy and tenacity - she's gone through so much as it is already. But all I could say after watching the Petal video was that I am deeply worried. I don't like that the discourse centers so much on assumptions about exactly what is wrong, how she feels, all these things we don't know; that feels a little like a step too far into the life of this woman who we don't know. But we obviously do know that something is wrong and that her team and label are comfortable to have it displayed front and center, and I hope with every fiber of my being that she is able to be helped through this period and come out on the other side a little stronger and healthier than before. It's a difficult feeling to witness this and be essentially powerless to do anything; like what is me boycotting the music or something going to do to help ensure that she gets help, that she gets healthy? Who am I to know that she's not already in treatment and being provided all the resources she can be given to ensure her safety? If she's not, who am I to get her there? Just a horrible, difficult situation all around.

This isn't true. The video is meant to show her career in different stages.

She was criticized as "thick-thighed" during Victorious, and we know her choreographer Isaac put pressure on her to lose weigh and "be healthier". He was the one who first encouraged her to go plant-based.

She also did get body shamed by people online from the end of 2018 throughout 2019 and into 2020. I remember comments claiming she had gained too much weight over things like her Billboard Women in Music 2018 look, how she looked at the 2020 Grammys, etc. despite her weight fluctuating.

The comparisons have happened since the beginning of the tour, byt yeah, let's hope this is not the same case

Celebs aren't responsible for raising other people's kids, parents are. While it's reasonable to express concern once if someone's appearance seems worrying, this conversation has gone far beyond that and become public condemnation. If someone is going through a hard time, this kind of constant attention isn't helping. Instead, her body has been turned into a circus, becoming an excuse for a kind of mass cancellation that's honestly twisted.

Mental illness doesn't only affect poor people you know. Eitherway nobody forces you to feel anything.

Her new music video is legitimately creepy and ominous in a way that's very unusual for modern day stars. I can't engage with this discourse anymore without getting a really unsettling feeling

It amazes me that with the amount of people around her nobody is doing anything, if ariana was from my country her family wouldnt leave her alone, i say this because i dont know if individualist culture in the USA makes ari familys stay away but girl..

There's nothing fans can really do about the situation, but something is clearly happening. And personally, it's scaring me. EDs are one of (if not) the most deadly mental disorders, and I PRAY someone close to her is willing to do what it takes for her to get help NOW. I do not like to engage in discourse regarding any of this, but my only cent here is I hope she heals; she's been through so much. She deserves happiness and a healthy life.

because if empathic people didn't exist you will be nothing after you try to recover from your illness, what's why it's so important to reach out for help when you need it, and even though we don't know the situation her current state is worrisome. I just wish her the best and hopefully she's able to bounce back from this (and this is about health related only, not commercial performance)

Frankie and Joan are also extremely thin people, but I think Ariana exited that territory a while ago. This is not just weight loss and god I wish it was actually that.

The thing is in a situation like this only she can bring about the change she likely needs. I don't think saying nothing is the right thing to do when the situation is obviously bad and concerning, but at the same time saying something is also probably not going to help unless it came from her mother or Frankie. Denying the situation isn't gonna do anyone any favors but its also frustrating there's no easy fix for this either. It's just a hope and pray kinda thing atp.

There is also the extra layer of her being a public figure and therefore being a role model for younger fans but its not as if she can help it or should be blamed. Her label/team/whatever probably have to take the bulk of the responsibility there and work more carefully so they don't end up promoting or glamorizing it.

I have to be honest. I'm like you. I've been trying to stay strong-unbothered, but deep inside, I've been feeling like crying these past few days because of this situation.

The crazy thing is, I wasn't the biggest fan of Ari back in 2013. I was a bit reluctant about some things regarding her (when she was diva lol), but over the years, as I became more of a fan, my love for her grew so strong, and I turned into such a huge lover of her music-persona. It's like her music becomes a part-piece of you. So many life experiences-memories become attached to those songs. Sometimes, it feels like they're a friend or even a family member. There's this deep red line connection with your favorite artists-things.

Unlike so many singers from the past who had tragic stories, Ariana has family members who love her deeply. That makes happy. I think they're doing everything they can behind the scenes to support and help her. Something has to work. I would be far more worried about britney or bieber in this situation cause i know they have no one there for them*

I know many people here aren't religious or spiritual, but I will be praying for Ari to give her resilience-change-health. If you dont like praying just sending positive vibes. I manifest that Ariana will move on from the bad things she's been through, and she will live her best life and keep releasing music that she loves. Evil spirits leave ari alone. Stop haunting her

Hopefully they will encourage her to take a break. I think all three of them (Joan, Frankie, and Ariana) have been going through it. Frankie has talked about getting sober from alcoholism. Joan's lost both of her parents. We all know the string of tragedies Ariana's dealt with. She should take a couple of years off from show business entirely.

I really do think losing Nonna Grande in 2025 had a huge impact. Ariana grew up in a household with Joan, Frankie, and her two grandparents. Her grandparents seemed like the "rocks" of the family. Both of them being gone had to affect them all.

I am a through and through ariana fan, and while I love and support her and genuinely avoid commenting on appearances (especially weight) as fans it's right we voice that we are concerned. We can't ignore what is right in front of us. Of course we don't know what's really going on, but part of me wants her to step away from the tour (even though I know she is getting a lot of joy from it) and focus on getting into a better place. She has been working on herself for years but the weight loss is getting more extreme and all we want for her is to be healthy. I hope her story doesn't end like so many do

She does look unhealthy and that is not to judge or shame her. It's none of my business, though if she is suffering from an ED then I hope she recovers because she deserves to be free of unrealistic body expectations. Everyone does!

The first step to recovery is to accept that there is a problem. I don't think that she thinks that she has a problem.
