It's amazing. Madame X has great songs and is the resumption of Madonna's artistic form.

At the time, it felt like the best song on the album to me, and it's fair to say I became a little obsessed with it.
I still find myself coming back to it every now and then
I think it was seriously underrated. Maybe if the mv had been less of a short film and allowed the song to shine without so many cuts, it would have been received better. The execution of some of the looks in the video wasn't entirely to my taste either.
With different styling choices and a few changes, I think it could have worked even better.
There's something about the production and mix that makes it feel very appealing and innovative, while at the same time that's exactly what turns some people off. That unusual blend is divisive, but it's also what makes it such an interesting experiment!

The end product is one of her worst. The opening is brilliant (though she didn't have any part in its creation), but nothing else is. The video is much stronger than the song.
