Corporate ATRLers, how often do you take sick days?

Featured Replies

A lot of us probably get more sick days than we'd reasonably use. I have a great immune system so I never get sick (or even an STD!) giraffe. I usually call in sick once every two months at leasteli. I'm calling in sick today gaycat1.

Hbu corporate girlies? Unemployed ATRLers please click out of this thread, I don't want to get infected.

Maybe stop traveling . Or do more bareback to build your immunity.

If one day i don't feel like working, i stay home, reply a couple of emails, and then ignore work for the rest of the day.

Yeah and I definitely make great use of it giraffe

I take them as often as I can, nothing better than waking up in a foul mood and just using a sick day to stay in bed.

i work from home 4 days a week . if im sick , i wont call in .. I'll just make myself comfortable . work from the couch ( or bed ) with a bowel of soup and sourdough toast with my laptop resting on my lap , doing some super light work . have a hot shower over lunch time and have movies on in the background .

when i worked in an office 100% of the time though I'd be calling in sick maybe like once every 3 months .

I never take sick days, mostly because I rarely get sick, but also because I can work from home so if I feel sick I just stay home but continue working, not proud about it but I feel guilty if I don't work in a day I'm supposed to

i use my sick time (for everything) first while letting my vacation pto accumulate. legally, employees are not obligated to express they need to use sick time as long as u dont overdo it which taps into LOA/medical excuse territory.

same. my company has 4 PTO buckets: personal day, floating holiday, vacation, and sick time.

i deadass will take sick time for a half day of work just for mental health & self care.

Every month lol

I work for the govt though so it's not corporate I guess

I just work from home and do the bare minimum unless I'm really sick, but that rarely happens. I've called in sick maybe once or twice in the last 5 years.

i take it if i need the day to rest or i had something short notice. i have barely any holiday allowance so i have not much choice.

i WFH so i try to stick it out and use a sick day if a friend comes to town or something

We have unlimited time off, so because it doesn't interfere with my planned vacation time or anything, I'll take the day off any time I need it for physical or mental health. I'm mindful of not abusing it, obviously.

Well, I'm my own boss so I just have to let my clients know with some anticipation alexz

I would say it doesn't happen that often, maybe once every few months
