TRL era pop girls who have $100 million dollars grossing tours in the 2000s

Featured Replies

List of TRL era pop girls who managed to have tours that grossed $100 million dollars or more in the 2000s:

Beyonce - I Am... World Tour ($119m)

Britney Spears - The Circus Starring Britney Spears ($131m)

P!nk - Funhouse Tour ($102m)

Are these the only three pop girls that managed this feat from that era? Keep in mind this is over a decade before co-vid where it seems rare for pop girl tours to reach this, unless they were Madonna, and since post co-vid, the touring business has exploded where most legacy female artists can also have $100 million dollar grossing tours if they have the demand.

Based on my search, you're mostly correct, but there are a few notable additions to your list. Here's the breakdown of TRL-era pop girls who achieved $100M+ grossing tours in the 2000s:

Confirmed $100M+ Tours from TRL Era Artists in the 2000s:

1. Beyoncé – I Am... World Tour (2009–2010): $119 million

2. Britney Spears – The Circus Starring Britney Spears (2009): $131 million

3. P!nk – Funhouse Tour (2009): $102 million

4. Lady Gaga – The Monster Ball Tour (2009–2011): $227.4 million

5. Shakira – Oral Fixation Tour (2006–2007): $100 million

Notable Near-Misses:

• Christina Aguilera – Back to Basics Tour (2006–2008): $48.1 million — While some sources claim "over 75 million" [^10^], the documented figure from 82 shows is ~48M, well below the $100M threshold.

• Jennifer Lopez – Did not have a $100M+ tour in the 2000s. Her first major world tour was the Dance Again World Tour in 2012, which grossed $52.6 million .

Key Observations:

You're absolutely right about how rare this was pre-COVID. Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour is particularly notable as it became the highest-grossing tour for a debut headlining artist in history , and it actually spanned from late 2009 into 2011, technically crossing into the next decade but rooted in the 2000s TRL era.

Shakira often gets overlooked in these conversations because she's primarily categorized as a Latin artist, but her Oral Fixation Tour absolutely crossed the $100M threshold , making her one of the few from that era to achieve this.

So your list was missing Lady Gaga and Shakira — both of whom managed this feat during or immediately following the 2000s TRL era.

Shakira. Such a legend. First in her generation to do this and still touring stadiums.

Grossing less than half being a "near-miss" deadbanana2

The 100 grossing tour was a rarity for females not named Madonna, I mean look at the list, only the biggest ones from that decade did it.

Xtina tour numbers are terrible, even in her prime. She was a none factor to begin with... coffee2
