Something that has always bothered me was that pop culture always dogpiled on Britney, particularly from the Circus Tour onward about her decline in dancing abilities/choreography.

MEANWHILE, Beyonce started dancing much less during her Renaissance Tour onward, but her criticism has always been downplayed by her fanbase because she makes up for it her singing. But hasn't she been singing live allegedly this entire time?

So why did the internet decide to drag Britney across the mud, and not Beyonce?! Why the double standards? WHY?! THE ****!

1 - Beyoncé's """decline""" in dancing is nowhere near comparable to Britney's. Britney was in her early-30s and barely moving. (And this isn't even a drag! She was stuck in an exploitative conservatorship. Why should she move? To make money for her disgusting father?)

2- When Beyoncé lipsyncs (which doesn't happen as often as you claim), she uses a pre-recorded track that comes off as seamless. Britney was lipping to a CD from 1999. (And this was happening before 2008, so we can drag her for it.).

Bey can sing and her dancing, while more limited on the Renny tour for alleged health reasons, is still technically very good. Britney has never been a real singer, so her dancing getting clearly worse is more noticeable. It's the one thing you'd presumably go to a Britney show for.

Beyonce is a vocalist though and was in her 40's when she decided to slow down when it comes to dancing. Also Bey been had a knee injury for like a whole decade that didn't get treated until recently these last few years. She was told by Fatima the legendary Choreographer to slow down and not put her body through stress so she won't end up dependent on pills like Prince and MJ

Also Bey is still capable of going hard. Her dance break during buckin proved it at Bey bowl

Because Beyoncé is 44 and still outperforms every girl out there with ease including the ones half her age.

Imo is because Britney and Bey stopped dancing at different stages of their lives

Britney was 27, Bey 42

Beyonce also just makes up for it with her vocals

Another point is Britney's fanbase was a lot more entitled, younger and obssesed with her in those years

The hive is more mature/older and Beyonce being also older makes everything more expected
