So, Taylor is basically the queen of Spotify. But there's one Spotify record Bad Bunny has that Taylor isn't even close to right now. He was the most-streamed artist in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2025, and it looks like the gap between them is getting even bigger in 2026, Bad Bunny's in the lead again. Do you think Taylor will ever take the record for the most years at #1 on Spotify?

Most streamed artists on Spotify globally each year:

2013: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

2014: Ed Sheeran

2015: Drake

2016: Drake

2017: Ed Sheeran

2018: Drake

2019: Post Malone

2020: Bad Bunny

2021: Bad Bunny

2022: Bad Bunny

2023: Taylor Swift

2024: Taylor Swift

2025: Bad Bunny

  • Can somebody explain to me why the conversation around Taylor Swift is always centered around numbers and not her ability to sing?

Well, what do you think?

I honestly don't know. If Taylor does the Super Bowl in 2027 and goes on a new tour in 2028–2029, she might take the lead. But who knows if either of those things will actually happen.

Of course. She's literally 10 times bigger than everyone else, and the biggest artist of all time. Not even an hyperbole. It's a fact.

Will we ever stop talking about Taylor Swift? Idt any artist could survive this level of analysis. It's not fun to talk about anything this much

No

She would need 4 to overcome, which is incredibly hard to get

Sis, I love you but no she's not. She's not bigger than The Beatles or Elvis or MJ.

I mean neither MJ or the Beatles had a tour that big

Touring back then was limited to Western Europe, no Asia, mostly the US. You cannot compare as there were even less stadiums. Totally different touring market.

10x bigger than Madonna would mean, Taylor sold 2,1 billion traditional albums. which she has not.

Imagine a fanbase who claims that their act sold 2,1 billion CDs and Vinyls. Has education really eroded that much?

And ? She's still bigger

They all had the biggest tours of their respective eras.

It's like saying the Roman Empire never had any political power bc they didn't have nukes. When Alexander The Great (yeah not a Roman, I am aware) conquered the land he conquere ppl claimed he conquered the "Known World"... despite missing like 90% of the earth's landmass and yet nobody calls him a fad.

Carole King literally had the biggest album by a woman ever at one point which sold 20 million copies - unheard-of at the time. But judging by the Swift-stans tapestry must've been a huge flop and all he Swifties are clutching their pearls how anyone could have written a positive article about its achievements back in 1970.

I hope we do not turn into Truth Social any further.

Kinda impressive she was the most streamed for 2023 and 24. Bad Bunny is not as global as Taylor though despite him getting streamed more.

It's not though it's harder now to sell or draw people to a tour

This is beyond absurd.

I am too European to further engage. Good luck.

I mean whatever she already tied MJ in number ones and her career is not slowing down

Lackluster longevity: multiple weeks #1 album and single globally.

Do OTHs even understand what they are typing.
