You're absolutely correct - I doubt she expects "music video variants" to do more than just keep the song afloat until her actual opportunity to go for the #1.

The actual opportunity to go to #1 was the last week of December or all of January. That ship has now sailed, as Bad Bunny has a huge Super Bowl boost, and incoming albums. Taylor just waited too long to make a push on Opalite.

Brad Arnold was a world class person too, beloved by his peers too, who helped raise millions for Hurricane Katrina relief. 3DD was a huge Worldwide Post-Grunge Rock Band 2000-10. But, since we had property along the northern Gulf of Mexico, 3DD was also a local band that had "made it big."

Same for Gaga last year. Abracadabra would've been an easy top 3 if not #1 smash had she dropped during the prime early January dates. Doing a release Grammy/SB weekend just doesn't make sense for anybody outside the spotlight artist.

Opalite actually got a big boost! they just didnt combine them apparently. the two mvs did something like 1.2M+ and the song as a whole ended up doing 4.5M streams. idk how much in the US but certainly more than 761k
