Janet might not have the strongest voice but she has never sounded off key live. Just because she can't reach very high notes it doesn't mean she's not a good singer.

Both were great singers, listen to the music. Who gives a **** if they couldn't belt live.

Janet literally invented whisper pop which everyone loves these days. So let's give her some credit for that.

I'm biased to Madonna, so I will say Madonna sings better than Janet.

There was a time in 1990s, she re-invented her image to a ballad singing songstress. I love that.

Just because they aren't the strongest vocalists, doesn't mean they're bad singers. No one truly believes that two of the biggest, most talented artists in the world are just mid, or whatever fits the agenda.

Neither of them are gifted singers in the slightest, and the amount of copium that each of their fanbases exhibit over this fact is wonderfully entertaining

Janet's singing was ultimately less offensive than Madonna's, and she seemed to have a better ear for vocal melodies.

Both are not specially great singers but Madonna has greater greats and lower lows I think

I adore both queens but Madonna is the better singer overall.

Yeah while I've never heard Janet be off key Madonna takes bigger swings and has more demanding songs vocally but she can be inconsistent live.

I will always defend Madonna's voice and say she has given us more than most vocal gymnastics ever can. There is a reason most on American Idol and nobody from The Voice have amounted to ****. Because there is so much more to the picture than someone's surface level power vocals.

Love Madonna don't get me wrong but some of her vocals performance are disastrous while I can't think any of Janet's being that bad
