I think in a lot of her recent work she has opted for more breathy vocals which are tougher to project when live and jumping around. For the chorus of Manchild she just straight out belts and it sounds good. Her SNL performance is my favourite. She needs to do more songs like Sue Me again live.

she is not a vocalist but a showgirl through and through with very good vocal despite heavy theater element in her performance

Yeah, she sounds very good live.

I mean, she's a serviceable singer but it's not like there's much competition on the vocal front in Pop these days, especially from her ilk. Who out of the new pop girls can sing at her level or better besides Chappell? It's slim pickens.

No, she actually started off key and gave mid vocals, even the SNL rendition was better, good performance overall though.
