They're both over-awarded in the major categories. Billie did not deserve this win, nor did Taylor deserve to win AOTY for Midnights.

Wildflower was the most deserving out of those nominated though

Let's be honest: it's not like the voters TRULY award the best written songs in this category. Billie Eilish herself won it with "bad guy"...

Taylor lyrics read like encyclopedia (or diary) entries without a convincing enough vocal performance to give life to any of the words, which is kinda the most crucial part of being a songwriter. Some of the most beautifully written songs can be incredibly simple but without a strong vocal performance that makes you feel like you are experiencing the emotions with the artist, the words don't carry nearly as much weight. And you don't need to be a vocal acrobat to do that either. She just has the most one-dimensional vocals out of any real songwriting legend her fans try to force her in conversation with (or of any popular artist of her magnitude ever)

Anyway, WILDFLOWER is a good song and certainly better than majority of the contenders so good for her!
