very true, especially how expensive the tickets themselves already are

It's annoying too when one chooses cheap flights and stay options, and end up losing lots of money due to show postponements/ cancellations

I'm so ******* tired of how touring works now. Its not even enough to live in a major city anymore, you have to be lucky that it's one of the three the artist visits on the entire tour... As if ticket

why not play an actual stadium in NY too? when the rest of his dates are stadiums overseas. seems like a cheap trick to make sure his hardcore fans can go to dozens of NYC shows and he can say he sold

What on EARTH is this schedule

Not the same because he was touring extensively, he did several cities in 2022 while Bey only did 9 cities and he is only doing 7 now

Loud and wrong.

He did 4 cities in America in 2022, New York, LA, Austin, and Chicago, that + 2 shows in Palm Springs for his birthday were all the shows America got for Harry's House. You're thinking about his 2021 tour in America for Fine Line.

Fact check here

Outside of America he did a regular tour, but the idea that he's taking inspiration from another artist when he did that himself before her is kind of ridiculous.

I don't get it, it's a single tour that run from 2021 to 2023, some changes here and there but is read as a single tour. He visited more than 30 cities in the US so it's not the same residency metric :)

@campelo You do realize that Harry has been living in Berlin for about 2 years now and that this album is heavily inspired by the city.

Why you acting shocked people expected at least one Berlin gig?

The meaning and purpose of TOURING is lost and gone.

Post-Covid "Touring" has been the most awful experience for consumers, not only ticket prices are beyond ridiculous. On top of that we have to deal with +10 exclusive presales, online queue to enter the actual queue... but now the artists and the promoters want to squeeze every penny and increase profit by minimizing transportation costs with these "mini residencies"...

I've been wanting to travel to NYC for a while so I guess this is a sign. I usually go on vacation in September and perfectly coincides. I doubt he is skipping LA and won't probably be here until next year.

Edited by Mellark

people should stop buying tickets for these "residencies", otherwise it will only get worse

Yeah I know all of that but Berlin is not really focus to big concerts! Even Munich receives more stadium concerts than Berlin.

We really don't talk enough about how Beyoncé has really changed the touring landscape (for better or worse) by popularizing residency style stadium tours.

Doing 2, 3, 4 or 5 stadium shows before moving on is...not a residency. And she did that once with her latest tour. Before that you already had people like Adele doing 10 shows in a single place without moving. Coldplay's latest tour also did around 4 shows per stop plenty of times before ending with 10 stadium dates at Wembley and no on mentions them.

I think what everybody means is that she tour only 9 cities and each city she was doing 3 to 6 concerts in the feeling of a tour residency. She only did two European cities and 7 cities in the US. That means everybody was travelling to these cities exclusively.

Coldplay was going to every city possible and doing sometimes 10 concerts in Buenos Aires, 15 in London etc but they ended up going to 80 cities, they didn't forced everybody to travel lol

That's...not a residency. It's just a short tour.

It's a single tour that had multiple legs. One of those legs was a residency tour in America. This tour will be the same. There'll be a second leg that's not just residencies.

How can it be Beyoncé's impact when he's repeating what he himself did in 2022, before she did something similar?

There's literally no way Harry doesn't touch Italy, for instance, where he closed the last tour in front of 103,000 people and where he currently lives most of the time. Or Japan, a country he loves and still needs to properly break in. There's no way he only does two cities in all of Europe with the demand he has. I don't think you understand how big Harry is in Europe. He did 6 Wembley shows in his last tour ON TOP OF a dozen other stadiums, multiple nights in each place.

Just in Germany, for the last tour, he did six shows and sold almost 400,000 tickets. Just in Germany. He has ZERO shows scheduled in Germany for this tour.

He did two shows in Dublin with an attendance of 133,732. Manchester, 99,526 tickets. Paris 132,880 tickets. None of these cities have shows scheduled.

Six Wembley shows is what he'd already done + he'd also done 3 Johan Cruijff arena shows (154,903). Even if he doubled the amount of shows in London and Amsterdam he still wouldn't cover the demand for him in Europe lmao.

It's the future of touring tbh, I'm sure cities push touring industry to do residencies because it bring millions into the economy of the city with all the people coming and spending money. It's way cheaper also to build the stage in the stadium for 6-10 shows rather than build it every 2-3 shows in a lot of cities

This is true, I agree. Over the last 5 to 8 years I felt a shift. Berlin isn't a priority anymore when it comes to touring Europe which is a shame and I'm so confused about it.

I think for stadium tours the most used cities are Düsseldorf or Munich at the moment. Sometimes Cologne or Frankfurt as well. I was surprised Bruno Mars booked Berlin for his tour

I think it has something to do with the density of the population around Berlin vs Munich

Berlin is kinda isolated and Munich has all the southern + Austria/Switzerland

Does anyone know how to get to the Amex presale for the Amsterdam dates? The Ticketmaster page doesn't make sense…

So he's gonna make his fans travel to see him? Yikes

The NYC shows are no different to people doing Vegas. It's an entirely different stage set up to the other shows too (the mock up for the stadium stage is actually beyond massive, it extends longer than even Taylor and Coldplay's catwalks)
