This year alone he's been on a remix of Leon Thomas' Mutt, featured on Summer Walker's album, and got a top 20 hit with Bryson Tiller.

Is the music that good?

He's wayy past his musical creativity prime, all of his newer albums are beyond tired and boring.

Every once in a while he has a good song.

His 20 year long career and "performer" image is really what gets people to go to his concerts. He also has influence on some singers I guess

the reality is that DV is incredibly common and people stay with their own abusive partners and parrot the same talking points. why would the industry kick out chris if they are going home to someone like him?

Bruno Mars plays the pop game a little too much for r&b audiences to be truly comfortable with him when him and Justin are the only real talents to have come out of that late 00s r&b pop boom.

Justin Bieber had DAISIES and YUKON but outside of that he kinda didnt make any noise outside of tabloids these past few years.

Post Malone is hip hop for white men and now hes a country star so ofc theyre turning their backs on him

Chris Brown is still an active live performer, despite mid quality albums and an insanely problematic CURRENT and PAST history, he still is active by all definitions of an active artist in the industry and fulfills an r&b niche abandoned by Usher (WE NEED KING BACK!), thats why hes still in the game, he makes acceptable r&b-pop with none of the glamour or flair of a Bieber/Bruno type making him the perfect machismo artist.

The black community easily excuse men until their behaviour is inexcusable. He is loved in the black community unfortunately and seen as some kind of victim that the industry powers want to cancel . A recent example is Megan and Tory lane scenario. A lot of blacks still support Tory and see him as a victim. Go to shaderoom comments section on IG and see for yourself.

Just goes to show that cancellation has never been that effective (it can slow you down, for a time, and that's about it). The public at large doesn't really care. As long as the industry doesn't try to stop him (or anyone else, really), there's nothing stopping them.

Yes he took a decade break after his 4th studio album but since has released 3 more albums.

His 5th studio album is his best but he has 6 albums in total.
