I think this is sort of hopeful because it shows that a lot of people are pro-Trump and not necessarily pro-Republican. So when he's out, the party could lose a ton of leverage.

I live in slightly blue (which is crazy used to be hard blue) Palm beach and yes, my coworkers are so pressed I'm living. Idk how people who grew up here or lived here more than idk… ten years can't see the devastation republicans have done to this state. Like, I have been here for 29 years of my 30 year old life and it's changed so much for the worst in the last 5-10 years. So glad I'm moving next year.

I think most Americans are unconsciously sick of career politicians which is why figures like Trump and Mamdani have been popular, even with constituents outside of their respective ideologies. All the more reason for the moderate wing of the Dem party to get on board with progressive, leftist, and more ideologically diverse candidates because many of them (like AOC) don't have whole careers built off the toxic architecture of American politics.

 

We need the amount of Ivy League diplomas and law/consultancy careers at the 2028 primary debate stage to be far smaller than the amount see in the 2020 primaries.

It's a very common talking point from liberals and right-wingers, actually. that Bernie only had support from wealthy white college graduates with worthless, boutique liberal arts degrees. And they would apply the same logic to anyone aligned with him as well

Well yeah, but the hope is the constituency makes it clear what they demand and the Dems fall in line. I know that's a huge thing to expect lol but hope is all we have.

oh, most definitely. I guess I just don't consider that rigging in the regular sense lol. I think they'd have a hard time outlawing mail in ballots as the federal government does not have any power over how states regulate/conduct their elections.
