Yes I'm on my way. Huge to be a Kpop Stan but not anymore with the level of mediocrity right now

i enjoy hating on my faves from time to time, it's all about balance

Most likely. It takes passion to love or to hate, to expend that kind of energy.

I'd argue that if you're following an artist you hate constantly (tracking numbers, listening to their music, playing leaks, etc). then you are still a stan. It's just a much unhealthier lifestyle.

I do think it's somewhat true that they become the biggest haters. They have the potential to become the biggest haters than the normal one. I've personally encountered a few who used to be fans and became super haters. I feel like there's gotta be something cause they hate the same way they loved but the difference is it's opposite. I don't believe everyone do this just some.

This is definitely true from what I've noticed over the years, especially in the case of Gaga stans. Extremely weird, deranged behavior. :biblio:

You know what they say:

There is a thin line between love and hate! The opposite of love is indifference.

Well, yes!

In the Swiftie community there is a totally bizarre subset of fans who spend their time trying to "hold her accountable." A huge chunk of this are Gaylors who are angry at her for not validating their fantasies. They love spreading negative information about her online (have legitimately started an couple of hate campaigns) and pretending they're somehow more morally pure than other fans while still streaming the music, buying the merch, and attending the tour. Insufferable.
