The material was there. It was the golden age of Janet, Beyoncé, Brandy etc. Why did Miss Tyra never pursue a singing career?

 

 

Because she herself gave up before she even put anything out there for real.

 

I don't know that she would have endured in the music arena, but I think she was going for that J. Lo thing and probably would have racked up a few hits.

I'd rather have her as a reality tv host and star. ANTM and The Tyra Banks Show is probably one of the most iconic and messiest tv shows in American Television
 

 

Because she said herself she never had the confidence to become a musician or perform on stage. So she chose the talk show instead. Her talent lies in talking, not singing/performing on stage. 
 

I always thought that shake ya body video was her trying to be/mimick Beyoncé idk
