Halloween is very much a US-centric thing. 

Because it's so vague that basically anything that mentions anything supernatural gets counted as a Halloween song

But the topic of Halloween music, do you not look on Spotify for Halloween playlists? Monster mash, the creeps, don't fear the reaper, purple people eater, jeepers creepers, any song with titles like monster, ghost, haunting, cannibal, etc all are included lol.

It is a thing... after Christmas I think "Halloween Music" is the only other holiday that has its own music that re-peaks every October. We don't really have Easter music on the other hand.

September to me is an eerie month. Probably cause i associated it with 9/11 and some really dark personal events
September-October should be treated as spooky gothic months  and we should have more cultural stuff about em

Because it's one day and local. Christmas is not just about that day, it's the whole season. 

I think it will be later on. Halloween seems to be becoming more of a month-long event over the years. I'm here for it.

Kim Petras tried to make it a thing but it got soiled with Dr Luke credits  I'd be so here for it if they tried to make a market off it like they do with Xmas music... that is if we unanimously agree to make Britney's Scary the Halloween version of AIWFCIY

 

Nelly Furtado's Maneater kinda turned into a Halloween's classic and I'm here for it

 

It's probably because Halloween is basically just one day and while Xmas is also one day it basically marks what it means winter, you know the whole snowy, cold vibe, it Xmas feels more like season rather than just 1 day while Halloween is basically that day and the next day you're done with it.

it's surprising Xtina never released a Halloween themed project even like a cute lil EP tbh

she'd be perfect for it and isn't she obsessed with that holiday
