i agree, i think in the grand scheme of things these nomenclatures can get a little messy. 

and just like how streaming music was a sin until Taylor got her way and back onto it, "x's version" will be laughed at now that Taylor has her masters back...

To think I bought her first two albums back when they came out. No one asked for this. Ok maybe her last stan did but that's about it. Thanks to social media Fight Song sends me into a cringe fit 🤣

Regardless if the music's ass or no there's an evident reason she's re-recording it and it's because revenue- licensing it's probably being split among a village due to messy contracts so no- there's no need for extreme demand from people for an artist to do something like this. More about fairness, ownership, or even artistry as it's your own work and you'd like to have control over it. But some people here seem to not understand these basic concepts
